Hello everyone.
We have many fruits in our garden. Today I want to show some of them - ones that have fruits now and some photos that were taken earlier. I took the photos before several days.
This year apples and plums have very good year. There are a lot of fruits on these plants.
Now in the garden we have apples, pears, figs, redcurrant (only one), grapes, peach, plums, chokeberries or aronia berries and blackberries.
There are different types of apples and pears.
Other fruits such cherries (we have 4 different types of cherries, early ones, sweet and sour and one more that I dont know the name).
And some fruit trees were affected by frost. They lost fruits and even leaves were quite damaged. So to my surprise (I thought walnut was resilient toward frost and cold) walnut and red and white mulberry did not have any fruits do to frost and cold.
We have hazelnut tree as well but it is still too small to give any fruits.
Lets start with apples.
Apples
There are different apple types.
We have sweet and sour apples.
Also there are new apple trees and old ones.
Older apple trees are more than 30 years old.
These are sweet apples.
This year is good for apples. Old apple trees are full with apples.
New apple trees.
They are still small but there are fruits on the trees.
As I remember these are sour apples.
Tree is so small yet there is so many apples.
Pears
With pears we have couple older trees and young pear tree.
All pear trees have so much fruits.
This is reason that some branches are breaking on the older pear trees. These trees may be old as apple trees so some 30 year old pear trees,
We collect some of the pear from the branches that have too much fruits to avoid breaking of the branches.
You can see that there are so many pears on branches.
Also we placed some support for branches of smaller pear tree.
Fruits look good so far.
This is late pear. It is gets ready to collect later then other pears.
Redcurrant
Small redcurrant bush. Fruits are delicious.
Peach
Peach tree is looking good.
Fruit need still some time to ripen.
Grape
This is our grape. It is still early for the grape. This year grape does not have that much grapes as before. I think it was due to frost.
But it looks good and grapes are always delicious and nice refreshment in the garden.
Chokeberries or aronia berries
Aronia berries are very healthy. We store them and use them later on.
Yesterday we collected most of the berries. You have to watch for the birds because they can eat berries.
Plums
I did not take photos of the plums. Past years there are no so many plums. Reason for this is most probably frost. Plums trees used to give many fruits and you could make so good plum jam. This year however there are plums fruits. We had early plums. One of them is this yellow one. Other one was different type but early as well.
Maybe there will be some plum jam.
Now there are some plum fruits on the trees but I did not take any photos.
These are early plums.
Blackberries
Blackberries are so good and delicious. We collect them almost every day for more than one month. Best part is that you can eat them while you are collecting berries. Some of the photos I took past month.
Figs
Figs have a lots of fruits but they are still not ready to eat. They grew in several waves. First wave of fruits fell off because of cold and frost.
Last year figs were very good.
Banana tree
We got it as gift last year. It looks good in the garden.
Some photos of the fruits that I took earlier this year.
There are figs, several different cherry trees and pears.
These are fruits in our garden. Good have it in post post for the records.
