Failure is the pillar of success

I am not giving up..

This is the third time, I have put up these plants at my native. As you know, I have been moving between my family living in the city and native place, I try to maintain the garden at both places. It has become an addiction, I would say. Also its a necessity especially for Winter - its difficult to get other flowers, so we must grow these winter flowers.

The nature has spoiled all the plans this year. It has destroyed my plants twice at my native. I started putting up this mini garden almost two months back, mixing soil, cocopeat, and vermi-compost.

They were going beautifully when the nature started to play - it rained continuously for few days with low pressure situations. And not just once, it happened three times. And the trees died because of that. I was curious to find out the reason and went to a local nursery to ask and bring some new saplings. And that is when I learned a new thing - the cocopeat is not suitable for rainy areas - it destroys the root of the tree , if it becomes wet for several days. I have been gardening for three years, and my thought was, cocopeat makes the mixture light and thus helps the root grow faster. We always learn something new in our life. Learning never ends.

I always visit a government nursery - over the time, they know me well. Though there are private ones, the price is reasonable in government nurseries. And they are not very strict on pricing - sometimes they give more saplings free. Now a days, the agriculture department is more interested to see people doing farming. Here are some nice photos from the nursery.

See this beautiful violet flower ? It blossoms only in winter. And it sells at a very high price - 200/- per plant. I got one plant last year, and my native is now full of these. We have got so many of them, the only drawback is that, they grow bigger and cannot be planted in containers. I also spoke to one of our organic garden guru @prabalmallick who advised to use mustard cake, neem cake and Trichoderma viridi. If you do not know, then Trichoderma viridi is the good fungi that helps improve the soil quality. So I got them all from a private nursery and have now added to these plants. Hopefully, this time, I will see some results.

Unfortunately just today there is a news about a low depression coming in next 2 days - it may not impact heavily to my area, but I am thinking to lift these containers inside the factory, if it actually rains heavily for more than a day.

Gardening is all about experimentation - With changing climate, we need to learn a lot and I am learning something new every time. I even have a dream to grow all my vegetables myself. We have place in my native, and it will be possible only when I stay here permanently. But still its worth doing what I can. I am not giving up this hobby anytime.

I really admire your determantion but I totally understand it. Wherever and whenever I had a chance to grow something, I did so with great passion. It must be very hard to maintain two gardens at two different places, especially with all the unexpected effects caused by the climate change. I hope your efforts and enthusiasm will bear fruit (literally :D) eventually and one day, you will be able to grow all the veggies and fruits you and you family need by yourself. That would be awesome :)

I only need to settle at my native - a 8000 sqft area to grow everything is available. Let's see what I have in store.

Wow, that´s a lot of space to grow some healthy organic goodies :)

Gardening brings us nearer to the nature, to our roots. That is the major requirement for a healthy mind and a happy heart. So that is the key to a joyful life.
Hope nature will support you this time and everything will grow well😊

I went to the nursery today and from there I took three varieties of daisies which were in beautiful color but I did not find white color. I like flower nursery very much.

Flowers always makes us happy.

You look like a very good fit for cultivation.Cultivation refreshes the body and heals the mind.

Gardening is all about experimentation.

Indeed, and I too like to experiment especially because I am a beginner.

Don't give up!!!!

It is true that we learn something new every time. There is no end to our learning. Many days ago I learned a method of caring for trees in the rainy season from my cousin. She basically covers the roots of the trees with polythene during the rainy season so that rain water does not enter the roots of the trees. As if water goes to the base of the tree and the roots of the tree do not rot. Anyway, I hope nature will not play with you anymore but will help you this time.

Hello dear friend @sanjeevm good afternoon
I hope that this time everything goes well with your plants, now with what you have learned you can correct what was wrong
That's what I like about gardening and farming, you always learn something new
You do very well not to give up, this time it will work out well you will see
I appreciate that you let us know these images
I wish you a lot of success

Your gardening skills are just amazing... And surely there will be very beautiful flowers grown on the plants which were planted by you.. The spirit of never giveup is the best key of success and you have that because making so much efforts is not a cup of tea for everyone
@sanjeevm

I personally live with plants and trees in my surroundings and most of all Rose flowers fragrance always ramp me in such a beautiful memories.Marigold is probably start our day in the morning either in the form of flower for worshiping or decorating the living area.

Those pictures are really very attaching for me and specially tiny marigold flower plant kept 6 in numbers in front of shutter.

You have getting big effort for keep garden effectively with improve beauty. Also it's good enogh space recover using polythene bags for planting. So many small plants can grow if someone have small garden. Farming always beneficiary to everyone because it'would be good for our health, pocket and mind. Nowadays I can't attend to the gardening field due to my working. Within our life time we learn something from every lesson. We have to face problems, troubles. But slowly gain the experience. Next time we can solve some problems when we faced previously using experience. This is valid for every sublects. i wish your garden will more effective.

Giving up on things is not a solution.... Never giveup is the key of sucess❤❤❤

Wow such an amazing collection of plants.
I think if you do such type of work in the month of March It will be amazing.

Hi @sanjeevm, it's hard work. I also like to sow, I hope all your plants prosper.

It's so addictive, despite the set backs. I agree that we learn a lot as gardeners -- that keeps us interested I think too. It'll be great to settle down in a place and do vegetable gardening - I'm sure you will one day! @riverflows
