Hi hive community friends...how are you today? I hope we are all fine. Now it's the rainy season in my area and it rains almost every morning, even though now is not the rainy season but it doesn't make me lazy about my activities.
This time I will tell you about what a garden should be, which is actually a cafe. My work friends and I visited a cafe called mafezana. This cafe is a garden with lots of plants and is surrounded by rice fields.
I'm interested in the kedondong fruit tree. There are several kedondong trees that bear very heavy fruit. The color of the fruit is green when young, and grayish when older and yellow when ripe. Kedondong fruit is a type of tropical fruit and belongs to the mango family which has the Latin language Anacardiaceae. Kedondong fruit has fibrous seeds. When you are young the fibers are not that hard, but when you are old the fibers are very hard so it is difficult to eat kedondong fruit.
As far as I know, kedondong fruit tastes very sour, but the kedondong that I found is not that sour and has a sweet taste, so it's also delicious to eat. According to Google, kedondong fruit contains vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus and antioxidants. Kedondong fruit is also good for maintaining heart health and reproductive organs. In my area, kedondong fruit is usually consumed after being processed into salad or sweets, it is rarely eaten just like that.
Apart from kedondong, there are also many papaya trees in this garden, with heavy fruit too. We were so excited to explore the papaya garden which is located at the end of the cafe. According to what I read, papaya is a fruit that is rich in benefits, including being good for digestion, lowering cholesterol, and can protect against arthritis. Truly a fruit rich in benefits. I really like papaya, eaten straight or in juice it is very delicious.
According to the cafe owner, during the rainy season many of their papaya trees die due to rot in the roots, because this garden is located in a low area, so during the rainy season the land is prone to being submerged in water, which results in the soil being damp and wet and that is not good for the papaya trees.
The cafe owner allowed us to pick papaya and fruit for free. Wow, what a nice offer. We are so excited to quote papaya and its kedondong fruit. We picked up a lot of papaya fruit and the cafe owner allowed us to take home the papaya fruit and kedondong. Very happy, the cafe owner is very kind.
There are also pomelo trees in this garden. Grapefruit is a type of orange that is large in size. One grapefruit can reach 1-2 kg.
And there are also many other plants that make it comfortable to be in this garden cafe. Flowers are also planted in this cafe. According to the cafe owner, they usually also grow vegetables, but they have already been harvested. I feel at home in this garden, my heart feels calm, far from noise, and the wind also feels gentle.
It didn't feel like it was already afternoon and we had to go home, even though we still felt at home in this garden, the air got cooler in the afternoon. We only paid for the food we ordered, we were given the kedondong and papaya for free.
