Eating veggies will keep us healthy, planting them will help to make us happy and lively.
My warmest hello to the wonderful people of Hive especially to this amazing community. How are you? Hope everybody is healthy and doing great!
Today, I will share with you an update on our school garden. The plants that we planted. Way back then, when school garden evaluation was fast approaching, I had shared and posted the veggies and spices that we had in our garden. Now, I will share to you the updates.
The result of School Garden Evaluation
We gathered in our gym for the announcement of the results of the evaluation. I was surprised when the hard copy of the result was handed to us one by one.
Based on the result, the first place goes to @rbtheniceguy, the second place goes to @callmesmile and the third place goes to Grade 12- Garnet(our garden). I wasn't expecting that we can place and be one of the top 3 because many school gardens were nice and also deserved to win. But we did it! We were happy and proud then.
These were the updated captured photos of our garden.
Eggplants were planted in the empty gallons before but now we decided to plant them directly to the ground I feel the eggplants love it and I can see lively leaves around and now they were started to bear flowers. How lovely, isn't it?
The Kangkong and Camote tops were beautifully bloomed and grown in the pot where we used old tires with bamboo fences.
The Sangig were having many branches and its branch can also be planted in another pot. It smells so good and I love to mix this in a vegetable soup same with our lemon grass.
Lemon grass is very useful in soupy dishes like the well-known Tinola and it adds flavor and aroma.
Alugbati, Okra, and Spring Onions still bloom in the places where we planted them. These were the plants and spices that were easy to prepare in making a dish. The three of these mixed together, that's it, it can already be a viand paired with your rice. No need to spend that much.
Tomatoes and Peppers also were standing and waving beautifully in my garden. Happy to see them well growing.
My lovely Pineapple! I only have one pineapple plant and its fruit is perfectly formed now. Maybe next month this can be harvested and we can taste the sweetness of our pineapple.
The seedlings were transplanted so that they will grow fast. Our garden was surrounded by attractive ornamental plants.
And Wait!
Our medicinal plants also started to be in full beauty. These were the plants that were best known for treating skin injuries and also skin burns.
These were some of the harvested plants in our garden and everybody enjoyed it.
Self-Realization
The award that we received, the recognition that was achieved from the school garden evaluation, or in short the success that we had gained was because of the cooperation of everybody and I realized that something is heavy when you carry it alone but it will becomes light with the help of everybody.
That's all for now Hivers. Thank you for reading this until here and to God be the Glory. Bye for now!

That's so amazing! I wish I had known this when I was still in school. Planting is also teaching the students a lot of things - including responsibilities.

Wow, look at all that abundance! Amazing to see so many vibrant, hearty plants. Always wonderful to see students taking part in the growing and harvesting, as well. I think learning to grow even a few things is a life lesson we should all learn!
