I am going to be doing my cannabis growing journal a little differently for these seeds. I ran out of the same strain, so I had to put a few different ones in the same tent. And due to this it will be hard to say which is which. So this will just be a more generic grow log instead of focusing on the strains.
We are approaching the point of where my previous seedlings failed. So I am curious if they do better this time.. Lots is different. New soil mix, lights are higher up and with less wattage, and watering them is now done with just a dropper and shot glass. So hopefully they are getting just enough water, light and good soil to be happy now.
No idea which is which, some may be autos.. some may be photo periods.
Their age is anywhere from 5 days old, the youngest in the upper right corner. All the way to the oldest, at 3 weeks in the bottom right corner. The two others are a few days in between.
The biggest of the bunch is getting ready to form its third set of nodes. Soon it will be time to top them.
By cutting off the top it will encourage new growth more horizontally and less vertically.
The others are still too small to do much with, but glad to see they are growing more every day.
I had to go back to using my metal halide light and not the LEDs as I found the temperatures were too low and the germination was starting to drop. So I got my lights pulled all the way to the top, and with the lowest wattage bulb. Seems like they are doing better this time.
The smallest of the bunch just a few days old now. Before this one, a few failed.. So I had to start over a few times, this was resolved as soon as I got the tent temperatures back into the 70s and 80s with my metal halide light setup.
Not sure if I will keep the netting, mostly had it to hold up the LED lights. Due to having different strains in the same tent doing another SCROG grow will not work so well.
The soil has been amended with more seed starting mix, hopefully they like the mixture now and do better. I think I had more of a soil issue than a light issue. So hopefully addressing that will be the main thing that was hindering my seedlings.
Beyond the changes inside the grow tent, I also added some storage racks and a small work table by the tent.
This is nice to have so I do not need to just lay everything in the tub, or strewn across the ground. I got everything I need just about... Different kinds of soil, liquid fertilizer, dry fertilizer, mosquito bits, spare bulbs, an extra fogger, yeast and sugar.
Glad you got the hang of the seedling phase. It can be super frustrating. Cant wait to see how these do over the next few months.
Yeah man I know what you mean, they are quite delicate when young. Hopefully they will be out of the seedling phase soon.
It wont be long until they are flowering for you.
Looking really good man. I think you have things dialed in pretty perfectly because those seedlings are pretty perfect looking. Nodal stretch is on the money, not too much , not too little and perfect coloration. The inner nodal's will pump out hard with your topping.
Loving that workstation setup too. I've been thinking about trying to do something similar because I do the whole "strewn across the ground" thing myself.. lol
I think things are progressing much better this time around.. Hah yeah that stretch was a bit much but seems they are growing into it now. Putting my light all the way at the top of the tent made them stretch more than usual I think. But like you said topping them should bring them back into a good balance.
Hah yeah it makes all the difference.. Hope you find yourself something that works for you.
All things considered with indoor grows, stretch is overrated...
What I mean is, it doesn't impact the plant as much as many growers seem to think. (in my opinion..) By the time the plant grows into a mature size, it's common for many of the lower nodes to be cut off completely, and supports are often added in the form of nettings and tie downs/ups.
This means that it really just doesn't matter if in the beginning the seedling lopped over or stretched a little, because it just doesn't really matter much at all in the end and likely doesn't affect the flowering capacity of the plant :)

Good evening my brother
That's very neat, you did it very well, and you also put all your equipment in one place so it's easy for you to reach it
Hopefully the plant will grow well
Ah thank you, hopefully they will do well with all the gear.
You're welcome my brother, have a nice day ♥️
Significant changes occur in your cannabis plants my friend, their growth looks very good after you make some changes that you have just made, in the case of your cannabis plants yesterday there were many wrong factors that made it difficult for your cannabis plants to grow.
This one they actually look fresher.
You changed several problems, ranging from the soil, the way it was watered to replacing all LED bulbs with low-power bulbs, this is pretty good my friend.
It's nice to see them thrive 😊😊
Yeah I think these are looking better this time, hopefully the issues I addressed will resolve the growth problems.
This is a very good system. Your method will ensure that the tree grows safely and well. The soil looks like it's suitable for planting trees, I hope your tree grows well. Best of luck 😍
Ah thanks, I hope it all works out for these seedlings.
!WEED
Out here growing the real plants that matter lol 🌱
Hah yup, I love growing cannabis.
It has made some improvements.
Sure has
I love the measures you are taking to make sure or to ensure that the cannabis plants do very well. But I want to know, is there anything special about growing cannabis? I know it's medicinal, but is there anything more to it than that?
It would seem growing cannabis plants is more work than others. The amount of humidity they need and other factors they seem to need more than the average plant.
Wow, my friend, your growing environment looks great. It's obvious that you are an organized and disciplined person.
The seedlings are still very young. They need attention like a little baby. We will follow their growth with you.
It is becoming quite the setup. And glad I am writing this as a journal.
It's great that you did it with love so that this marijuana plant looks very beautiful and the leaves look quite fresh. I feel quite happy to see it and I also like the very neat place for the equipment you use, my brother @solominer
Ah thanks, it is all coming along.
Your plants look healthy, I like that you have everything in order that shows your passion for gardening. Excellent 👍🏻
thank you, its nice having some shelving now for all my stuff.
It is a nice initiative that you add storage racks and put here all your necessary things. When your need you can take it easily.
Yep, really glad I got them.. now I can find everything.
The plants are doing well and you are doing well in taking care of them.
Ah thank you...
They look like they're doing well, but let's keep our fingers crossed and watch them grow. I'll be looking out for their journey, that's if you'll be sharing it here, because I want to know how they would do.
Okay great, I will post another update when new things happen.
thanks.. I think so too.
I wish you success on your new plant. It look healthy and I believe it will grow to your test. Weldone boss
Thanks a lot..
The growth is amazing! May the harvest be bountiful!
Thanks much.. hopefully I get a harvest this time around.
They look beautiful, I hope you are successful in this new opportunity.
Ah thanks...
The plants are doing great 🌱 @solominer, super healthy my friend, with the fertilizer you have used I think in the next 6 months you will have to change them again.
But they look great 👍. Good job bro. Cheers and great start to the week !!!
Pero están muy bien 👍. Buen trabajo bro.
Saludos y excelente inicio de semana !!
Ah much appreciated... yeah in 6 months I should be on some all new plants and growing outside again.
The plants are looking great. I think there would be a good news soon.😊
You really prepared everything. 😊
Thank you, hopefully they will do better this time.
You're welcome. 😊😊 It will most especially, when weather cooperate too.😊
I'm glad my first batch failed.. otherwise It's be guessing stains too.. I got 2 Grape Balls of Fire started right now..
I know what you mean... well a good time to go through oddball seeds.
Hope yours do great.
How many kinds of seeds the CANNABIS has?
There are hundreds if not thousands of cannabis strains.
Wow! That's a lot!
Farming is getting more popular and people are finding it interesting.
Sure is
Is there a way to learn this? I mean any online contract to go through for learning. Please suggest if there is any
Good evening.....
In the new year the cannabis plants are planted in tubs. This year will be better. I will see the plants grow slowly.Best of luck🤝🤝
I do hope this time it will be better. I guess I will know eventually.
thank you
I can see why my plants were dying haha there is so much to learn, trial and error until they grow strong and healthy. Gardening is a very complicated art if you don't have a lot of knowledge, but we can all learn 😊
I hope your plants grow well!
I have lost many plants as well, it happens. But figuring out why is important not to make the same mistake again.
thank you
I hope that your plant grows big quickly and hopefully it can survive without any disease attacking your plant
Thanks, me too...
I am glad to hear it. May I ask for your discord, friend?
Good to see your plants looking healthy. I see you are not using Miricle Gro soil, that is a good thing. I have been seeing people writing about getting gnats after using it.
Thanks, these are doing much better.
Yep that is correct, no longer using it. Though the new stuff I got was garbage, so I may need to find another brand to buy from.. the black gold seems much better though.
Is the black gold soil a well-draining soil or does it hold moisture?
We are going to stop growing areca palms so we are not getting another dump truck load of soil, now I am looking for a soil to replant pineapples and desert roses, they both need it to drain well.
With all the care you have taken of these plants, there's no doubt they would thrive.
ah thanks, I hope so.
A garden that is a little different from everyone else. Very nice, actually your plan is very nice. You will have a big and beautiful garden in future.
Hopefully they will do much better this time around.
Wow, this is so much work. One has to be very meticulous in dealing with this kind of plant, or else you will ruin everything. When your strength fails you, that's where one's passion steps in.
You are doing an amazing job, well done.
Yeah it seems growing cannabis requires more than most plants.. make sense with the powerful chemicals its producing inside.
thank you.
