Starting spring and summer seeds

in HiveGarden6 days ago

With only a few weeks at most left of the frost season we are starting seeds indoors. Besides what is direct sow, we can start most of what we want now for the garden outside. In a few weeks these seedlings will be big enough to plant outside in beds and hopefully produce lots of tasty greens throughout the summer. Waiting to see the roots come out of the bottom of the trays and I will know they are fully grown in their little trays.

So far just brussells sprouts and spinach is in the ground, but soon much more will be going outside.

Not everything has come up just yet, but most have. Took about a week for most of the seedlings to start showing life.

We can see the different colored lights between the front and back rows.

Many of the berry bushes are not waiting to be planted and are just going ahead with flower production. Not sure if they will get pollinated or not inside but funny to see.

Hoping once planted they stick around and keep growing so I can get fruit really soon.

My pea plants are coming up nicely. Put a stick in the pot so they can grab onto it for more support.

Two of them came up, looking forward to more though.

One of the broccoli plants is much bigger than the rest..lol

Looking at the back row the color of the lights change, so everything looks a reddish pink. These are lavender seedlings coming up.

I have a whole other row of trays with lavender seeds, hoping they come up soon.

Really need to get these plants outside, I can tell they are getting stressed. But with mornings still in the 20s and 30s I cannot risk it just yet. Only the most hardy of plants can be outside at this point.

The roses have really taken off in their new pots.

Looking forward to planting all of them. I have almost a dozen that need to go in the ground now.

The herbs from last years black Friday sale are doing great, I trimmed them back and now they are bushing out all over again.

These roses are not as happy as the others, so I keep them separated in case I find mites on them or something. When I do I move them outside.

Many of the plants barely fit under the shelves now. But they do not need to wait much longer, hopefully in a couple days I can see the forecast through later April and decide to plant or not yet.

Looking forward to growing nasturtium plants again. Got a few seeds going already.

We have some more annual seeds growing in trays as well.. will need a few weeks to get them big and strong.

The elderberry plants are holding on too, but I can tell the small pots is making them upset. Soon they will be able to stretch their legs in some good soil with lots of room.

Some more of my pine seeds are now coming up as well. I failed to remember to soak them last time before planting, and seems it helped a lot doing that. As now more are coming up.

Really excited to put them out in the green house. I just need to finish wiring it up so its functional. And to wait for the freezes to end.

So lots of seeds coming up, right now I am checking on them daily and giving them water and feeding them once in awhile. But soon they will go outside and hopefully really take off in growth.

I can see our seeds are in a hurry to show themselves.🥳🥳🥳 I have a pretty good feeling about this…it’s going to come out awesome. Can’t wait to see all the grown seeds shinning in their glory. Keep tending and taking good care of them….their virtual admirer sends her regards🤗

They sure are coming up nicely now. Hah thanks.. will do another post on them soon.

Yes please
Will surely follow up on all them posts
I love gardening

That's a huge collection! You must have a big garden to plant them in.
Funny to see that even though you have planted the seeds at the same time and the conditions are the same, some plants grow faster than others.

Hah yeah our grow room is quite big. Yeah we have a little less than an acre to plant everything in.

So true, they all come up at different times.. many wait a long time and I start to wonder if I will ever see them.

That sure is a lot. Nice! But also a lot of work I suppose.

Love seeing the progress of your seedlings! my thumbs not so green🌸❤️ #plants #gardening

Ah thanks much.. haha well hopefully you will improve with time.

It's so good to see the progress of your plants. I hope the weather will soon be suitable for transplanting them outdoors.

If you have any doubts, you'll be able to make delicious salads with the vegetables.

The rose plants look great.

Excellent work, dear friend @solominer.

Enjoy a beautiful afternoon.

Thank you, soon enough they will go into the ground.

So true, I can always munch on the greens :-)

Hope you have a good afternoon too.

Nice Work Sir,
There is no doubt that you are very passionate about gardening and you work hard in gardening with great interest and passion.

Apart from the setup, I like those colors :p

Hah thanks.. its very pink.

Good evening my friend, I really like seeing your plants, every effort will definitely not betray the results, I hope your rose plants can grow perfectly ❤️

Hey there.. I do hope so.. hard work pays off.

We can see the different colored lights between the front and back rows.

So has this been set up this way for faster growth ? You are quite systematic in planning and execution, they will definitely grow well.

I had some white LED lights previous to when I bought these new pink LEDs.

From the reading I have done, pink LEDs is all the light the plant needs.. the white ones put off extra light they do not need, so its a waste of energy providing them with it.

thank you, I am doing my best for them.

Looking good! I'm really impressed in your setup and the thought you have put into it. I know it has been a labor of love for you. I look forward to seeing how your plants do.

Thanks much, indeed it is alot of work.. but well worth it I think.

Wao beautiful work great work nice job

thanks much

Wow, it's so exciting to see your garden develop. :)

Sure is coming along.

Everything is looking good with the pea plants I see, the stick is a good idea, maybe I'll actually try that when I decide to grow some of those. The broccoli one growing faster is funny, I guess plants have their own speed

Yeah everything indeed is doing well.. Good luck with your pea plants and indeed that one broccoli plant is quite happy it would seem.

thanks a lot, happy Wednesday

Excelente semillero

thanks.. the seeds are coming up nicely.

Very nice, it won't be long and all your plants will be happy. When you cut your lavender back, stick some of the cuttings, they root easily.

So true, they will grow very fast soon.

Ah well that may be a few years, the lavender seedlings grow slowly.

The whole setup is nice and they all look so healthy. Awesome job friend.

Ah thanks much

Damm.. that's gonna be a #grownassman garden. Green Giant ain't got shit on you..

Wow, your friends are so cool in the room I really like to see what you are doing

Thanks very much, its really coming together nicely.

I'm happy to hear that, hopefully it will develop well your plant

Wow, you had a lot of grown seeds for your garden. Planting variety of vegetables will help us in cutting off budget in buying vegetables at the supermarket.

Looks like your roses are so adorable. Hope to see more of your roses too. Greetings!

Yep, many seeds are coming up here. Ah very nice, we hope to offset our costs as well buying at markets.

Hah thanks, soon they will go in the ground and get big and strong.

Hope to see more of your coming plants. 😊
