Starting a garden Post #4

Post #4 in my starting a garden blog. I started with a pretty face to draw you in 😉

This is a crocus from one of the beds along my driveway.

This week we used fishing wire to layout a grid in our beds. Fishing wire is really hard to photograph 😅

We used fencing staples left over from building the garden enclosure fence to attach the fishing wire to the raised bed frame.

Our first seed in the raised bed! 🙌🍾🤩 A tiny radish seed.

Of course my wife has a label maker haha You have no idea 🤦‍♂️

Next seeds to go in were onions. We will see how they do from seeds. We didn't get any bulbs but we did get some garlic bulbs which we will plant next.

Most of our plants are still in the garage under grow lamps with some natural light too. We are running out of space here. Can't wait for it to warm up outside. It actually snowed today ☹️ The jar of golden liquid is banana tea. Hopefully it will help a few of our seedlings that could use a boost.

Pepper plant seedlings.
Our seedlings are a combination of seeds we saved, seeds we bought and seeds from the seed library at our small town library. Next week we hope to finalize our space plan for the garden. Thanks for reading my post 🙂

Nice setup, the best I can do is just some small tomatoes for my condo balcony. Last year I only have about 5 tomatoes grow though lol. The plants served as more of an aphid breeding ground.

You should trade in your city condo for rural Vermont haha. Land is affordable here. Thats what we did. Sold California house into the Covid crazy market. Bought here (unfortunately in the Covid crazy market) but not at California crazy levels. California does crazy on a whole different level lol
