This place is especially magical in the warmer months!
I’ve been enjoying taking the row boat out again too! It can be a great workout, or the most peace and quiet place you can imagine, pretty much 100% depending on how much wind there is! Both can be nice, but the peaceful times are my favourite!
Having the ocean within a short walking distance is amazing too. I feel very thankful and grateful to have grown up in this, even if it took me until my adulthood to really fully appreciate it.
I’m now on day 13 of my grain free diet and I’m feeling much better than I did before I started. Better energy, less nerve and muscle pain, and a better feeling of overall wellness 🙂 so I’m going to keep up with that! Plus I found some lentil and chickpea orzo that is helping to keep me from feeling like I have nothing to eat sometimes, because let’s face it, fruit and veggies aren’t always super filling, and sometimes I just want the carbs!
Anyway, that’s going well!

The crab apple tree has begun to flower, the little blossoms are so pretty!
The rest of the more exciting (and by more exciting I mean not tomato) plants are looking good. Hopefully my cannabis is female!
The toothache plant I started from seed that the cats DIDNT destroy is looking fabulous and has flowers starting now! I plan to harvest and dry this medicinal beauty and keep on hand for whenever it may be needed.
My giant Incan corn is still going strong! It’s so tall and lush! I transplanted it recently and made sure to give it some lovely compost and a tomato cage to protect it. It’s the lone survivor from the cats destruction, so it’s pretty special!
Anyway, I’m off to the family farm to help plant some stuff down there today, hoping to secure some growing space as well since I believe the fam has way more space than needed this year! I hope to get a few rows of beans and potatoes planted that I can harvest for the winter 🥰
