Probably there will be a lot of garden posts on my blog now. This is not surprising, because spring is a very active time for every gardener.
This year I didn't plan to update my garden. I was determined to conduct an audit, provide the necessary care for existing plants and only then plan updates.
But if you've ever been a gardener, you probably know how hard it is to resist replenishing your garden collection. And today I gave up and made the first garden order this year.
So, the first addition to my collection is three new helleboruses. This is a great addition to your garden if you want to have the first flowers very early. This amazing flower can start blooming as early as February. It is not afraid of frost and sudden spring snow. In addition, it needs minimal care.
The second item in my order is the seeds of perennial hibiscus. I love these plants very much. They don't require much attention as a frostbite. Hibiscus blooms at the end of the season. Thus, we already have two positions for continuous flowering of our garden: helleborus is the start and hibiscus is the finish.
The third position is two annual hibiscus. I'm not a fan of annual flowers, although they can be very beautiful. But my lifestyle and constant lack of time make me build the concept of my garden based on perennial plants that require minimal attention. However, I bought these seeds for a small experiment. I want to plant them in flowerpots and see if I can cultivate them as houseplants.
I also ordered three types of strawberries. I love this berry very much, but unfortunately I suffered a fiasco in the cultivation of it. So I made the last attempt by ordering plants that are already rooted in the pots. If this experiment is not successful, I will probably give up further attempts to grow it.
And the last item in my order is a tree-like hibiscus sapling. Tree-like hibiscus is a great solution for a lazy gardener. I have two quite large bushes in my garden and I planted another one in the autumn of 2024. And now I ordered another one of a different colour.
Now I'm looking forward to my new seeds and plants coming. However, this does not mean that my gardening activity has stopped. I must admit that I have a few more plants from autumn orders that have never been planted in the garden. They spent the winter in the house in flowerpots and now they are waiting for me to find a place for them. So my wait won't be boring😉
I wish you the best luck with your Hibiscus plants and with the strawberries too. I'm thinking of buying some everbearing varieties to try in a tall tower garden. Happy gardening.
I hope you will get as much red strawberries as it can be there :)
It is nice that you keep your garden renewed and active with new plants and seeds, I hope they grow healthy and give you the most beautiful colors 😊
Looking forward to seeing your garden bloom over the season!
