Hi, my dear Hive Gardners!
There is one month left before spring. Just one month! I can't believe it! And then I thought I was late with garden preparations again. In a normal situation, my garden should be covered with a thick layer of snow. But everything has changed. Weather forecasters promise us 12! Degrees of heat as early as next week! Unbelievable.
But nevertheless, it would be wrong to say that I did absolutely nothing. I've done a lot. First of all, I updated my equipment for seedlings and now, in addition to the usual photo lamps, and I have two more powerful lamps for plants. I hope this will help me grow my seedlings healthy.
Today I have already started transplanting some of the flowers that I sowered last month into pots. First of all, these are my pelargoniums. Unfortunately, only three of the five seeds germinated. But I also have pelargonium of other species, but they are still too small to be transplanted into pots.
I also had a real recovery session for other flowers. The poor things suffered from a lack of light. But I hope that the new lamps for plants will help to improve their condition in the very near future.
I also tried to transplant a few petunias into pots. They are still too tender and I'm not sure it will be successful, so I transplanted only a few plants, leaving the rest to grow further.
In general, everything is going well. If I were sure that the warm weather would continue, I would move the plants to the greenhouse in a couple of weeks. But the problem is that no one can guarantee the absence of weather surprises, and my greenhouse does not have additional heating.
Are these cardboard pots?
Yes. It was my experiment and I can't say I liked it
Hi. I think it is impresive your work. I have never seen something like that before.
You are doing a great job, you can see the small plants growing, and the transplants that you mention, I think that the extra light that you have added will do very good for their growth.
I appreciate that you shared this gardening experience dear friend @torem-di-torem
