Hello HiveGarden, today I will share my experience on how to eradicate/remove fungi found in ornamental plants such as sansiviera. I don't use manufactured drugs to get rid of the fungus on my sansiviera plants and I only use table salt. I have often used table salt on moldy plants and it has been proven effective.
I put sansiviera plants indoors because the weather has been very hot these past few weeks. Because I was busy working, I forgot to take the sansiviera plants out of the room, even though the sansiviera plants need to be exposed to the morning sun so they don't get moldy. Although the Sanseviera plant can live indoors, it still needs sunlight for its growth.
my sansiviera plant was finally affected by fungus, this white fungus quickly spread from one leaf to the next, within a few days, the leaves of the sansiviera plant that were affected by the fungus became one pot. I'm too late to save a plant that is still healthy from the bad effects of the fungus.
because today is sunday, I have time to save my sansiviera plant that was affected by fungus. when I see the condition of the sansiviera plant I hope I can still save the roots. The steps I took to save my sansiviera plants from fungus were :
1.provide 2 liters of water and 2 tablespoons of table salt, then mix, stir until the salt dissolves. I use a 1:1 ratio between the amount of salt and the amount of water.
2.unload sansiviera plants in pots,I have to be careful when removing the plant from the pot so as not to damage the buds that are just growing.
3.separate healthy plants from plants affected by fungus (in one pot there are several sansiviera plants).
4.wash all the parts of the plant that are affected by the fungus, then remove the parts of the leaves that are affected by the fungus.
5.on plants with very severe fungal conditions, I had to remove all the leaves of the plant and only left the root part, so I replanted the part of the root that I had chosen the healthy part
6.soak all parts of the plant that are still healthy with salt water, when soaking in salt water we can remove the remaining fungus that is still attached to the hidden parts of the plant, usually between the leaf petals, we can clean it by hand, leave for 10 minutes.
7.while waiting for the plants to be soaked in salt water, I began to fill the soil in the pot, 1/3 of it I filled with ordinary soil (at the bottom) and at the very top I filled with humus/compost soil.
8.it's time to plant the parts that have been quarantined in salt water
place the sansiviera plants that have been planted in a shady place but exposed to indirect sunlight, this method can kill bacteria and fungi on sansiviera plants. Usually within a week, our sansiviera plants will be healthy again.
So gardening tips that I can share at this time, thank you for reading my writing.

My sister has lots of this plant, and she is having a similar problem to yours. With that being said I am going to tell this technique of yours to her. Good evening!
your suster can use chemical drugs to kill mold, but I prefer to use table salt because it is safer for the environment and my pet chicken @afterglow
That's interesting. I would not have considered using salt. Bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon also work well for fungus
sometimes I also use calcium hydroxide to get rid of mold @nikv
This is helpful, Thanks a lot @umirais 🙂
