Been searching from that time for a similar brush but nothing came close to the copic brush that I learned to love and embrace. Today I thought I would draw again these characters using the same brush and this is what I found, a brush called fine marker somewhat similar to the copic brush they discontinued. Makes me wonder why they remove one brush when there are too many other brushes that I never used. I have forgotten what my Pinky version looked like . It was a long process before I settled on what I like for her clothes the color palette and what she looks like. I guess these sketches above can come close sigh!
When the copic brush was suddenly no longer available from the drawing app, that was the time I stopped drawing our beloved characters from the #pinkyandspiky comics by our friends Vidas and Ausra. It took me a while to get the desired look of my version of pinky and her gang. The copic brush definitely gave my drawing a certain look and character
I kept the big rounded ears. The snout I can’t remember what my character had but this one works for now. The original green scarf is her signature so it must stay. I used to draw her with golden tiara in the early days now the golden color is on her cardigan she used to wear a dress though. I love using red for her clothes to match the golden yellow scarf but this year no more red. Something earthy to match her green scarf.
We all miss these cute characters that we learned to embrace and love
