Hello Draw a Day community and friends. Here is my entry for the Forest Folk Festival drawing contest. The prompt is Food and Festivities. I was inspired by the idea of a big party in the forest, with lots of different people and creatures all celebrating together. I wanted it to feel fun and lively, like a real get together with yummy food.
I pictured everyone enjoying a big feast on mushroom tables, with pies, fruits and tarts. I drew lots of different characters, some tall, some short, some furry, and some with funny hats I wanted it to feel crowded and happy, like a real party. I even included a little mouse and a couple of critters joining in the fun
I used a black pen for all the outlines and tried my best to create every shape that defines the images of trees, people, animals and what not. I wanted the focus to be on all the different characters and the busy scene, so I didn't use any colors. I had so much fun drawing all the details, like the leaves on the trees and the yummy food on the tables.
