I needed a much needed daycation. I spent last week laying on the couch with covid. The whole house was down. Everybody sick. When I woke up today and seen it was 74 outside, I had to hop on the bike for a nice autumn ride.
I rode along Lake Erie along Rte 5. I decided to take a little ride along this creek bed. I rode past this a few times, but never really had the time to stop.
I wish I fished. This is a great spot. Ride along the creek and find a nice spot to cast my rod. 🤣
This stream dumps into Lake Erie, I'm guessing at this point, the fish are probably too polluted to eat. Sad really, I'd love to bring home some free fish. I love fish, but rarely buy it. The only reason, I don't fish is most of the lakes are too polluted to eat out of.
I stopped by the beach. I thought about riding the bike onto the shore, but decided against it. I'm guessing that's probably frowned upon even if the beach is empty. I did need a break though, so I parked and took a little walk along the shoreline.
It really was the perfect ride with the exception of the high winds. The water along the shore was super choppy.
Another creek emptying into the lake. I thought this was a great picture with the autumn colors and bridge.
It felt good to get out on the bike. I'm really glad I did it. Going into November, I don't think there will be many more days for riding like this. I do enjoy a good winter ride, but these warm days are numbered for sure. Get those rides in while you can I guess.
Looks like a nice place. Shame about the pollution, but people have a habit of wrecking things. We need to enjoy the decent weather before winter kicks in.
Ride free!
Yes we do. I'd probably be a huge fisherman if there were more local spots where the fish were good. Shameful, we've allowed things to get this bad, however, they say it's getting better.
Yes we do. Those cold days are just around the corner and I for one am not looking forward to the cold weather. Summer flew by way too fast.
