Hoy caí en cuenta de eso leyendo la historia de Moisés en Éxodo 17:11-13, cuando el pueblo de Israel estaba en batalla contra los amalecitas.
La cosa iba bien siempre y cuando Moisés tuviera las manos arriba, pero claro, el pobre hombre no era de piedra y se cansaba. Cuando bajaba los brazos, la situación se ponía fea y los amalecitas empezaban a ganar.
Ahí es donde entran Aarón y Hur, esos sí eran buenos compañeros, vieron que Moisés, ya cansado, no estaba rindiendo al 100%, por lo que sin pensarlo se apresuraron a sostener sus brazos hasta que la batalla se ganó. O sea, no pelearon en el campo pero sin ellos todo hubiese acabado diferente. Y eso me dejó pensando en cómo funcionan los equipos de trabajo de alto rendimiento.
Muchos piensan que un líder es quien debe llevar toda la carga del equipo y que tiene prohibido flaquear, pero seamos sinceros, ¿quién aguanta tanto peso solo?. No se puede, es literalmente imposible, hasta los mejores se saturan y terminan claudicando. Y ahí es donde entra en juego el equipo.
No se trata de ser un capo en lo que haces, sino de entender que a veces toca sostener los brazos de otro para que los procesos funcionen.

Many people think that a leader is the one who must carry the entire team's load and is forbidden from faltering, but let's be honest, who can carry so much weight alone?. You can't, it's literally impossible, even the best get overwhelmed and end up giving up. And that's where the team comes into play.
It's not about being a boss at what you do, but about understanding that sometimes you have to hold someone else's arms so that the processes work.

Moisés tenía claro el objetivo, pero si Aarón y Hur no hubieran estado ahí, definitivamente la historia sería otra.
Ah, y algo importante: la humildad. ¿Cuántos líderes han caído porque les dio pena pedir ayuda? El orgullo es el peor enemigo de un buen equipo.

Al final, ganar no es cosa de uno solo.
Las mejores victorias se logran con un equipo que sabe cuándo empujar y cuándo sostener, y si tu intención es llegar lejos, lo mejor es rodearte de personas que sepan caminar unidas.
