Hello dear entrepreneur friends, once again it is a pleasure for me to be among you again, to share experiences and some tips that can be useful. I like to talk about these topics, but sometimes learning some things is expensive, sometimes literally. That is why I share with you the importance of calculating expenses in order not to lose money.
When we have a new project or plan, always, no matter what it is, there is a lot to consider. When we want to travel to a place for example, we have to gather the money for the tickets in case we use transportation, or if we use our own vehicle, we have to consider the fuel expenses and set aside the money for it.
There is a lot to calculate when we travel, when we have to make medical check-ups, or even when we go for a meal in the street, in every aspect of our life there is a lot to consider and expenses to calculate and a business venture is no exception. As we know, we have to invest in what we want to produce and all those little expenses that suddenly appear, which are part of the process.
Hola apreciados amigos emprendedores, de nuevo es para mi un gusto estar nuevamente entre ustedes, compartir experiencias y algunos consejos que pueden ser de utilidad. Me gusta hablar sobre estos temas, pero a veces aprender algunas cosas nos sale caro, en ocasiones literalmente. Por ello comparto con ustedes las importancia de calcular gastos para no tener perdidas de dinero.
Cuanto tenemos un nuevo proyecto o plan, siempre, no importa de que se trate hay mucho que considerar. Cuando queremos viajar a un sitio por ejemplo, hay que juntar el dinero para los pasajes en caso de que usemos transporte, o si usaremos un vehículo propio, qué consideremos los gastos en combustibles y apartemos el dinero para ello.
Hay mucho que calcular cuando viajamos, cuando hay que hacer chequeos médicos, o incluso cuando vamos por una comida en la calle, en cada aspecto de nuestra vida hay mucho que considerar y gastos que calcular y un emprendimiento no es la excepción. Como sabemos hay que invertir en aquello que queremos producir y todos aquellos pequeños gastos que van apareciendo de repente, qué son parte del proceso.

Many times we have great ideas to undertake what in our mind look like millionaire ideas, what will make us give the public the best in the world, ideas with which we feel very confident that they will work, but when they are carried out, something goes wrong, there are many losses.
Usually, this happens because we don't do the math right. In my case, I am a person full of ideas and plans for new ventures, at the time I really enjoyed thinking of new things to do, but something I was not good at, was calculating expenses, so as you know, I had many losses because the costs of the products I wanted to sell, were very high, much more than in the market.
But all this happened because I didn't calculate the expenses before bringing those ideas to reality. However, from everything you can learn something and from this I learned that it is not enough to have an entrepreneurial spirit and many ideas in mind, there is a lot to consider. But something that is very indispensable is the cost of everything, before taking the risk.
Hoy hablaremos acerca de eso, calcular los gastos cuando planeamos comenzar con un emprendimiento, para que no falte y si tengamos ganancias. Muchas veces tenemos ideas geniales para emprender qué en nuestra mente lucen como ideas millonarias, qué nos harán dar al público lo mejor del mundo, ideas con las que nos sentimos muy seguros de que funcionarán, pero cuando se llevan a cabo, algo sale mal, hay muchas perdidas.
Por lo general, esto ocurre porque no sacamos bien las cuentas. En mi caso, soy una persona llena de ideas y planes de nuevois emprendimientos, en su momento disfrutaba mucho de pensar en nuevas cosas que hacer, pero algo en lo que no era bueno, era calculando los gastos, así que como ya sabrán, tuve muchas pérdidas ya que los costos de los productos que quería vender, eran muy elevados, mucho más que en el mercado.
Pero todo esto paso porque no calculé los gastos antes de llevar a la realidad aquellas ideas. Sin embargo, de todo se puede aprender algo y de esto aprendí que no es suficiente con tener un espiritu emprendedor y muchas ideas en mente, hay bastante que considerar. Pero algo que es muy indispensable, es el costo de todo, antes de arriesgar.

Knowing and calculating costs before setting a price is essential, we must always remember that we cannot start a venture if what we are going to sell is exaggeratedly expensive, mainly because it will not sell and we will only have losses and with them come frustration and discouragement.
To achieve this, you have to be organized, not all of us are by nature, so you have to learn it. That's what happened to me and something that worked for me was to keep all the records in digital or physical, as you prefer. A list in which each specified expense is well ordered and of course, the total of all those expenses.
But it is also necessary to dedicate time, it could be one day of your week to review all those records or update them if necessary. That way then we can see how things are going, if we have to update the price of our product or if it can continue to have the same price.
Conocer y calcular costos antes de establecer un precio es esencial, debemos siempre recordar que no podemos comenzar un emprendimiento si lo que vamos a vender es exageradamente caro, principalmente porque no se venderá y tendremos solo perdidas y con ellas vienen la frustración y el desánimo.
Para lograr esto, hay que ser organizados, no todos lo somos por naturaleza, así que toca aprenderlo. Eso me tocó a mi y algo que me funcionó fue, mantener todos los registros en digital o en físico, como prefieras. Una lista en la que se lleve bien ordenado cada gasto especificado y por supuesto, el total de todo esos gastos.
Pero también es necesario, dedicar tiempo podría ser un día de tu semana a revisar todos esos registros o actualizarlos si es necesario. De esa menera entonces podremos ir viendo como van saliendo las cosas, si hay que actualizar el precio de nuestro producto o si puede seguir teniendo el mismo precio.

On the other hand, you also have to control the money in the venture, review the amount of money you have and start by paying the total debts (even if we owe money to ourselves) and then continue investing, maybe at first we can not see profits, but if we recover the money to continue our venture and pay the debts, it is an indication that things are on the right track.
As a last tip, I consider it important to take advantage of the seasons. When our business has to do with food, it is a little easier to take advantage of the seasons, since there are times when some ingredients are cheaper, there are seasons in which some fruits and vegetables drop 60% in price and take advantage of these times, allowing us to have more profits and even make promotions to attract customers.
Don't make the same mistake as I did, before starting with these great ideas, calculate the expenses and you will surely enjoy your work and your efforts more. Por otro lado, también hay que controlar el dinero en el emprendimiento, revisar la cantidad de dinero que tienes y comenzar por pagar las deudas totales (aunque nos debamos dinero a nosotros mismos) para luego seguir invirtiendo, quizás al principio no podamos ver ganancias, pero con que recuperemos el dinero para continuar nuestro emprendimiento y pagar las deudas, es indicio de que las cosas van por buen camino.
Como último tip, considero importante provechar las temporadas. Cuando nuestro emprendimiento tiene que ver con comida, es un poco más sencillo aprovechar las temporadas, ya que hay épocas en las que algunos ingredientes son más económicos, hay temporadas en las que que algunas frutas y vegetales bajan un 60% su precio y aprovechar estas épocas, nos permite tener más ganancias y hasta hacer promociones para atraer clientes.
No cometas el mismo error que yo, antes de comenzar con esas grandes ideas, calcula los gastos y de seguro podrás disfrutar más de tu trabajo y de tus esfuerzos. Buenas noches @jackdeathblack qué buenas recomendaciones nos has traído hoy y creo que muchos hemos pasado por este fallo de cálculos de costos, dejándonos, como dices, muchas perdidas y sinsabores.
Realizar cálculos es necesario, importante e indispensable y en economías inestables como la que tenemos en Venezuela, si no lo haces con frecuencia, corres el riesgo de descapitalizarte rápidamente, en ocasiones puede parecer exagerado la variación de precios de los productos en tan cortos periodos de tiempo, sin embargo, es la forma en que puedes mantener tu emprendimiento a flote.
