Tengo una pregunta y está relacionada con los negocios, pero también con todos los aspectos de la vida.
¿Quién no querría quedarse en su zona de confort de por vida? Se llama zona de confort por una razón, es muy reconfortante, muy fácil, no haces mucho, no te esfuerzas mucho.
El progreso es algo que todo el mundo quiere ver en su vida o en su negocio, pero el progreso conlleva dificultades. Es difícil producir progreso.
¿Por qué resulta difícil progresar? La respuesta es sencilla: nuestra mente ha sido diseñada para anhelar lo que le es familiar y eso hace que se resista al cambio. Esto es lo que dificulta el cambio y el progreso.
¿Cómo se relaciona esto con los negocios y el espíritu empresarial?
¿Ha observado que algunas empresas empiezan muy bien, crecen exponencialmente y luego, en algún momento, dejan de crecer o mejorar tan rápido como cuando empezaron? Si ha observado esto antes, entonces lo que estaba observando era un negocio atascado en su zona de confort.
Creo que algunas, si no muchas, de las empresas gigantes con miles de millones de dólares en acciones se han quedado atrapadas en esta zona. Desde la dirección hasta los trabajadores, existe esa sensación de logro que les hace relajarse y no me malinterpretes, en algún momento de tu negocio debes delegar y crear un sistema que te facilite dirigir la empresa y seguir creciendo.
Sin embargo, el sistema que crees en ese momento debe darte la misma velocidad de crecimiento que tenías antes de establecer el nuevo sistema, de lo contrario empezarías a retroceder como persona de negocios.
Algunas de las empresas más consolidadas ya no innovan tanto como cuando empezaron. Básicamente están utilizando miles de millones de dólares para controlar el mercado con el objetivo de que, al final del día, otros competidores se estrellen y no tengan la oportunidad de crecer hasta convertirse en una gran empresa rival de la suya.
Eso es lo que parece cuando una empresa o un negocio se quedan estancados en su zona de confort. Dejan de esforzarse y de trabajar como antes, lo que les ha permitido progresar tanto. ¿Cuál es su excusa? Porque es difícil, supongo que esa será su excusa.
Por supuesto que no son todas las empresas, hay empresas que se esfuerzan aún más de lo que lo hacían antes, y eso les ha llevado a progresar más de lo que progresaban cuando eran sólo una startup.
Si eres emprendedor, creo que esto es lo que debes hacer todo lo posible por evitar. Nunca te acostumbres demasiado a tu estrategia de trabajo como para no estar dispuesto a hacer cambios drásticos. Los cambios drásticos son duros, por eso traen tanto progreso.
Asumir riesgos calculados es inevitable en el éxito empresarial, pero hacerlo de verdad es muy difícil. Resulta que las cosas difíciles suelen ser las más beneficiosas.
Hay problemas extremadamente difíciles que las empresas no están resolviendo, si su empresa consigue resolver ese tipo de problemas, sus beneficios serán inimaginables.
He aquí un ejemplo clásico y actual de lo que intento decir. Conocemos a los generadores de vídeo por IA. Hay millones de creadores de contenidos ahí fuera que quieren utilizar esta tecnología.
Sin embargo, debido a las dificultades computacionales para generar vídeos de IA, las empresas que ofrecen los servicios, como Open AI Sora, tienen que poner un coste elevado al servicio. Esto disuade a la mayoría de los creadores de contenidos de utilizar estas herramientas.
Imagina que una empresa ideara una estrategia factible y viable para reducir el coste en un margen enorme o quizás hacerlo gratuito y ganar a través de los ingresos por publicidad. ¿Cuántos creadores crees que empezarían a utilizar los servicios de esa empresa? Prácticamente toda la industria de creadores empezará a utilizarlos.
Pero crear un servicio o herramienta así sería extremadamente difícil. A eso me refiero. Harán falta cosas muy difíciles para progresar en los negocios y en la vida.

I've got a question and it's business related but also related to all aspects of life.
Who wouldn't want to stay in their comfort zone for life? It's called a comfort zone for a reason, it's very comforting, very easy, you're not doing much, not putting in much effort.
Progress is something everyone wants to see in their lives or business but progress comes with difficulties. It's hard to produce progress.
So why does progress feel hard? Well the simple answer is that our minds have been designed to crave for what it's familiar with and that causes it to resist change. This is what makes change and progress difficult.
How does this connect to business and entrepreneurship?
Have you observed that some businesses start very well, make exponential growth and then at some point stops growing or improving as fast as it did when it began? If you have observed this before then what you were observing was a business stuck in its comfort zone.
I think some if not a lot of the giant companies with billions of dollars in stocks have been trapped in this zone. From the leadership to the workers, there's this feeling of achievement which makes them relax and don't get me wrong, at some point in your business you should delegate and create a system that makes it easy to run the business and keep growing.
However, the system you create at that point must give you the same growth speed you had before establishing the new system otherwise you'd start to retrogress as a business person.
Some of the well established companies are not innovating as much as they used to when they started out. They're basically using billions of dollars to control the market with the objective that at the end of the day, other competitors would be crashed and won't have the chance to grow to become a big rival company to theirs.
That's what it looks like for a company or business to get stuck in its comfort zone. They stop putting in the effort and the hard work they used to put in which brought them so much progress. What's their excuse? Because it's difficult, I guess that'll be their excuse.
Of course it's not every company, there are companies that are striving even harder than they used to, and that has led them to making more progress than they made when they were just a startup.
If you're an entrepreneur, I believe this is what you should do your very best to avoid. Never get too used to your working strategy that you're not willing to make dramatic changes. Dramatic changes are hard, that's why it brings that much progress.
Taking calculated risks is inevitable in business success but actually doing it is very hard. It turns out the hard things usually have the most benefits.
There are extremely difficult problems that businesses are not solving, if your business can mange to solve those kind of problems, your profits will be unimaginable.
Here's a classic and current example of what I'm trying to say. We are aware of AI video generators. There are millions of content creators out there that want to use this technology.
However because of computational difficulties in generating AI videos, the companies offering the services such as Open AI Sora have to put a high cost on the service. This discourages most of the content creators form using the tools.
Imagine if a business comes up with a feasible and workable strategy to either reduce the cost by a huge margin or perhaps make it free and earn through ads revenue. How many creators do you think will start using that business's services. Practically the entire creator industry will start using.
But creating such a service or tool would be extremely difficult. That's my point. It'll take very hard things to make the most progress in business and in life.
