Hello there, Asean Hivers!!! Hope you are all doing fine today. It was rainy last night, but still, I did have to get a chance to take random shots of the newly developed Magsaysay Park here in our city of Cagayan de Oro. A couple of months ago, this area was closed due to the renovation of the old park.
The landscape of the park is now much better than before, and after a couple of months, it is now open for the public. It was not my plan to visit the park because my plan is to buy a fresh fruit shake store located in front of the park, but I am attracted to taking pictures even though it was raining, and good thing that I did bring an umbrella, so in spite of the rain it didn't stop me from exploring and taking some pictures.
The Magsaysay Park is built in the honor of the 3rd President of the Republic of the Philippines who died in a plane crash in 1957. It is located in the heart of the city at Divisoria Cagayan de Oro. I remember before that this park is too crowded where it is not safe for the tourists because of the vagrant that stays in the park; that is also the reason why our local government closes the park.
The Magsaysay monument remained untouched but still looks good after many decades of standing. I believe that there are also Magsaysay parks in any part of the country as a symbol of honor and history of the late president. Glad that we had one here in our city. Divisoria, or The Golden Friendship Park, has more than one hero monument, such as Andres Bonifacio, Jose Rizal, and the former first City Mayor of CDO, Justiniano R. Borja.
I wasn't able to visit the other monuments because of the rainy weather, and it's getting late, so after I buy a fresh fruit, I have to go home because it's difficult to get a jeepney at night.

Christmas is coming so having this redeveloped is really a good thing. Seriously though, a beautiful Park can attract a lot of people. And when there's people, super saya nang mga shop in the surroundings. ✨✨💕
