Greetings and a blissful day to all.
In my post today, I won't share a detailed recipe even though this is still related to food or the dish that I cooked. However, I want to emphasize or express the impact of sharing our blessings with others, no matter how small or simple, but truly coming from the heart. That means by sharing with kindness, you also care for the people whom you share with.
Our lunch that day...
This situation happened to us too. We have this neighbor who also loves planting. They are a couple of what we call a green thumb. The wife was our house helper for a few years in the past while her husband is the one who helps my husband with some carpentry at home, especially in fixing our fence.
Because of this, we became close friends. Their youngest son is also very close to us especially to my daughter @tegoshei. Sometimes my daughter helps him in his studies and shares some of her art materials for the kid to use in school. That's how attached we are to this family. Since they love gardening too and have a spacious yard than ours and are not cemented, I always give them some seedlings that I personally grow at home. And whatever seedlings they have, they also give us some for as long as they can be planted in plant pots.
The other day, they gave us 2 papaya fruits and that papaya tree which bears a lot of fruits now was the seedlings I gave to them They successfully grew it well and it already bears fruits now that many neighbors are benefiting too.
Ingredients I used with the smaller papaya...
Tinolang manok with papaya
What I did with the smaller papaya fruit was I cooked it with the chicken stew or tinolang manok. I did not share the recipe because I already posted the same dish before which was with chayote but the same way of cooking.
As for the bigger papaya, we’re still keeping it and waiting for it to fully ripen for our dessert or snacks. We shared with them the tinolang manok so they could also taste the papaya fruit they planted.
This is CJ...
We waited for CJ, the youngest child, to pass by our house from his school so he could bring the food and eat lunch with his mom. Only the two of them usually eat lunch together because his other siblings are working.
I also cooked boiled banana plantain for our afternoon snacks and shared them some. CJ was so happy with the food and we were so touched by his smile especially when he cutely and sweetly said thanks.
It is really a good feeling when we can share our blessings with others and the same feeling when we can also receive something from someone because it means they care too.
I just wanted to share this wonderful feeling. It did not only happen this time but a lot of times already. Being kind and being grateful is a great virtue.
This is all for today and thank you so much for reading my post my dear fellow hivers. God bless us all.
Ang sarap ng pagkain pag may ganyan, Nakakatakam, while writing this comment. I am gulping many times with the picture of the food itself paired with bananas is more delicious because I've tried it before.
Heheh...I'm glad that you are a certified food lover too.
Thank you @vinzie1.. 😊
I miss tinolang manok especially with fresh chicken, And the boiled banana.
Tinolang manok is really one of filipino's favorite and yes you're its really good with fresh local chicken than the dressed chicken in supermarket.
Thanks for stopping by @asiaymalay
Ang sarap sa pakiramdam if you share with someone ano po, lalo if it makes them happy. But being close to your neighbor is what's amazing the most. Like they can be an extended family na nga 😊
