I'm not really a person for traveling so I haven't really gone to an airport in a while. Although I can say I don't know a single person that travels a lot that doesn't hate airports, haha.
But this situation is just dumb. They basically stole him a ride and $100.
I feel as though I intentionally travel less because of how much I hate airports and the rather silly rules they have around every turn. All that security and someone I know actually got on a plane going to the wrong destination and no one even noticed. What's the point of all these arbitrary rules because it isn't security, that's for sure.
Wait, wtf?! Hahahaa. How does that seem secure if someone can get on the plane they don't even have a ticket for? Feel like some of these shitty rules only distract the workers there so they end up doing their job even worse.
I think most of the workers are basically robots now because their jobs are so mundane. Imagine if the only thing you did all day was check boarding passes and confirm it has the same name as an ID card. Your eyes would glaze over and you would start to think about something else and just go through the motions without even actually doing what you are supposed to be doing. I can only imagine that this is what happened to my friend that ended up on the wrong flight. That and that fact that he is a bit of an idiot.
I think that in these cases I might even prefer a robot doing this, haha. At least I'd know this is what they would do every time and there would be less surprises. Also, I'd imagine those situations would be resolved faster.
