Hello Asean Hivers, it's been a while since I last posted in this community. Today I will share with you how we rocked the end of the year (back in the day) with some booze and upbeat live performances.
This was when facemasks and face shields were a thing of the future. When no one predicted that one virus would rule the world and disable our normal life. Life was never the same again after that. But we can still look back and enjoy the life that was when we party like no other.
Actually, the company I used to work with celebrated its version of YEP (year-end party) at the start of the year around January. Ironic but serves its purpose. Our company is super busy during the holiday season hence moving the party at a later date. This is to celebrate the year that was and to kick off the new year. Pretty clever, right?
Coachella
So, the set-up was like Coachella with a twist of tropical. If you do not know, Coachella is a mix of Indian, bohemian, and some rockers crushing the party. Here, it was located in a beach resort with a strip of palm trees and a view of azure water. And of course, there was a huge structure to stage the music festival.
I wore black pants and boots paired with a green floral shirt to compliment the occasion. I used to sport long hair back in the day haha. Not sure why I grew my hair back then but one of the reasons was that I just wanted to try how it looks and feels. Anyways, I joined a couple of friends who effortlessly wore bohemian-inspired outfits and some just wore shirts who just got out from their shifts.
Star of the night
My not-so-prepared friend was one of the star of the night. He was wearing a DIY black-inspired outfit with a shiny feather ensemble to gather attention and a service cap to conclude the entire costume.
The organizer also hired a local musician which leads the crowd wild with its signature sound and lively rendition of its own songs and covers. Nothing beats a crowd that is not restricted by 1-meter distance and fear of covid. haha.
Now that the year is almost over and year-end parties are around the corner, I wonder how it will be prepared by organizers this time. The last year-end party I joined was a virtual party and it did not turn out just right. Just for the sake of a party. Let us see.
How did you celebrate company events and year-end parties during and before covid? Share your suggestions in the comments.
Does it mean that you already attended Coachella before the pandemic? I'm curious if you already saw BLACKPINK performed last 2019 if you won't mind haha.
This is a coachella inspired company event. And no i have not attended the real 'coachella' specially the one with blackpink. I can only wish.
Oh I forgot the term like haha. I think I missed out what is the exact name of venue you attended😅
