RE: Discount steaks and a sleepy dog

Best of luck to you with your bowling competition tomorrow. I am sure you will do fine and whatever the outcome you will be pretty okay with it. It's a lot of pressure to maintain that level! Those look like pretty decent steaks. It doesn't look like there is a ton of marbling, but the meat looks decent. If it makes you feel better I bought a couple ribeyes the other day and they were $16.99 per pound. Ridiculous. I'm glad you are liking your airfryer. They are so game changing!

oh and I successfully defended the belt and won by quite a lot of points. I kind of felt bad for my opponent because she just simply couldn't find her mark. We were in game 3 before she got a single strike and at that point I was so far ahead that the celebration was a bit bittersweet.

Awesome! Congrats! Now the pressure is really on going for the three-peat!

if i had to pay $17 a lb for meat I think I probably just wouldn't ever have any. The steaks were ok, but I'm not excited about the prospect of eating another one unfortunately. I have 1 left in the fridge and froze the rest. I will likely hastily eat the one in the fridge before it spoils and the rest, well they are probably doomed to a several month stint in the freezer until I eventually throw them out.

The air fryer worked so well for the cheap cut that I think I am ready to take on a more expensive cut and I will dive into that the next time I am at the butcher.

I really don't eat as much beef as I used to before I met my wife. Those two steaks will probably last me a couple of months. I have a feeling they will stay vacuum sealed in the freezer for a while. I've got about ten pounds of ground beef I bought from my cousin and it will likely last me a full year if not longer.
