A Little Glimpse of Daily Morning Dose in our not so Fancy Backyard

Hi everybody! I hope you are doing fine. It's a gloomy day today. It's nice to sip a cup of hot "tableya" chocolate from real cocoa I bought somewhere in Claveria. Sitting at the dining table and staring at the window makes me gratefully think of a slow morning and another beautiful day.

I stand up to greet my dog. Look how handsome he is! He is big but cuddly. He barks the first time he sees a stranger but he is kind to strangers who repeatedly come back to the house. He's protective but quickly recognizes familiar faces.

I also have a new friend who likes staying here with us. He was a puppy of a neighbor's dog. Now, he is grown up. I named him Browny. Their warm smiles melt my heart.

After a while, I come to my plants. I love looking at them. My piece Lily rarely shows a flower. When I go to the other side, I am so delighted to see my bougainvillea blooming with a little flowers. I kept researching how to make the bougainvillea flowers bloom. Now that I see the colors it brings so much joy. My efforts in planting this is all worth it.

As I keep walking, I see this Moringa plant. It was just given by a neighbor auntie who trimmed hers. Since Papa didn't give time to plant it yet he just piled them leaning on an old table. Interestingly, it grows healthily with lots of leaves. When I look at it the bottom of the stems are on the ground so it extracts nutrients to moringa. It’s just wonderful how nature finds its way to survive.

Then this hen with two chicks walks by. They are wandering around our place. They may be noisy when I have a class online but looking at them and the green grass makes a lively environment.

I love to hang out here in this duyan attached to the mango tree. A swing that has been here since my children were babies. The smell of the mud and smoke from my dad's fire is so provincial. This mango tree bears super sweet mangoes. My father planted this along with many other trees surrounding our house which I will be talking about in my next blog.

Appreciating the beauty of nature, the calmness and tweets of birds in the morning with a bit of gentle breeze is such a blessing. Our place is irreplaceable. I don't know about you but for me, it is a paradise backyard with real living gems.

Oh my God! I love your fur babies! The province life is the best! Malunggay leaves are very nutritious.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. Enjoy your day.

Yes, amega @luthis26, Thank you. Although we are located just one ride from the main city and surrounded by high-rise residences and some buildings, our backyard has some green trees and several coconut trees. It remained to be a provincial-like place.
