Hi all, its been awhile since my last ASEAN Hive post. Lent season has kicked started since ash Wednesday, i got my forehead a temporary ash tattoo at the St John, and my trying to stay vegetarian life begun.
I did some reading, purple potatoes are good for humans. Its carbs, but its a complex one, so it actually last longer in the body, to slowly absorb, with that it helps to regular blood sugar. I have bought a couple of kilos and finishes like half of them today. Reason being, i bought too much. The other half has started rotting.
So happen, Ramadan began a couple of days earlier, so i went and bought some dates for my Muslim friends. Seriously, the price are quite expensive nowadays. Was it due to exchange rate? Or indeed they have gotten way more expensive nowadays.
I'm a regular Starbucks supporter. I heard many bad things about Starbucks, i short of telling those people off. Its a commercial cafe chain, if the beverages doesn't suite you, then move on go somewhere else. If they're as bad as you think, how do you think they can survived until this day?
I downloaded mynews app for some mint purchase. I didn't first time user are entitled to a cup of drink. I got myself a cup of free latte. Its good that it's free. But if i will have to oay for it, i will have to go back to my Starbucks.
The first few days are so far so good. Eat are healthy enough that i didn't suffer from hunger despite no meat. Wait, are we supposed to feel full during lent?
We are supposed to fast from meat, especially pork, aren't we? But yeah, we have to fast, it's good for our body. Great, you celebrated Ash Wednesday, a day of prayer and spiritual preparation.

hmm, I am sad that i was not able to received this year the ASH WEDNESDAY but still i would observed the no meat tuesdays and fridays..
Good. Don't do it because of the formality, do it for ourselves
Yes,I am observing and doing it since I was a teenager. Faith is the reason not the formality because when faith is strong and you sticked into your belief you embraced it in your heart the doctrines and traditions of the church you would do it whether you received the ASH WEDNESDAY or not.
