Ok. The dark side of the moon isn't always dark. We just don't see it because it's at the back side and the moon always facing us the same direction.

I can still remember my school teacher explaining how the rotations of Earth and the moon are so matched that we never get to see the unlit side. I always felt that was wrong somehow but now that dot dog Earth has been proven, it all makes sense.
