RE: The dog roommate time coming to a close and this likely thrills Nadi

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY4 months ago

There's one time, my inlaw sent the nephew for a play date. He spilled ketchup, and I did the serious face ask whatcha gonna do now, then he replied with cry. I took the kids out for dinner, my kids hopped over and pressed on the ordering machine for whatever crap they wanted, when I asked the lil nephew what he wanted, he replied with cry. After dinner, the kids play hide and seek in my absolutely ridiculous small apartment, lil nephew stepped on my toes. I teach him, he needs to apologize even though I'm a close relative. Now, say sorry. He replied with, of course a cry. In the end, I don't get the apology, he didn't learn a thing, the parents probably gonna hear a story of "the mean Uncle Dave" and not sending him over anymore(that's ok for me).

I'm not implying if my kids or other people's kids are doggo. I'm just saying, if the other being is not within our authority to teach, then don't. My lil nephew can still come over and play, but I'm not going to teach him anything anymore, and just go with it as long as my own children don't learn from him.

Pray for your safe journey and the big guy who take care of Nadi during this period.

haha. I feel that way about these dogs too.

I have made multiple children cry trying to teach them something, and this was never me being intentionally mean... so I know where you are coming from.
