Hello, hivers. I'm here with another update on our visit to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the Maeklong Railway Market. This tour seemed to be highly popular. I checked the Klook App for prices and found one that was reasonable. I booked a tour three days before our flight.
These two attractions are popular among tourists like us; I watched YouTube and was quite excited, and it was a new experience for me. Floating markets are not common in the Philippines, so experiencing them on this trip is a blessing. We received an email confirmation for the meet-up venue, Hug Thai Zone at Central World (CTW), and we must arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes before the stated start time. We arrived 40 minutes earlier than planned because we are early birds. We booked a cab, which I suppose was a mistake because it's only 10 minutes away and about a 15-20 minute walk from our hotel. While we wait for the other, they provide us water, which is included in the package. Because we hadn't eaten breakfast and had only had coffee, there is a store nearby where we were able to purchase some food because we were hungry.
After breakfast, we headed to the car that would take us on the entire journey. Our tour guide spoke three languages, which was fantastic because we could understand her. Since we woke up early, we dozed off on the way to the first destination, the floating market, which was an hour and thirty minutes outside the city. While we were traveling, we were thrilled. So far, the road structure is good, and the road and its surroundings are very appealing. When we arrived at the floating market, we had to wait and rest for 10 minutes before we begin our journey, they are kind to offered us some drinks and bananas, which were very wonderful. So, with eight of us, there are only five passengers in one boat 4 tourists, plus the guy who would drive us somewhere and show us around.
We were cautioned that while on the boat, we must not touch the water and ignore any creatures that we may encounter. The first few blocks were entirely residential, with only a few establishments selling beverages. In the midst of the attraction were packed with people selling souvenirs and food, including the most famous Mango Sticky Rice.
We had roughly 45 minutes to explore the area around us. We have the choice of eating while we use the time allotted to us, and they took photos of us before we left the floating market, which we can choose to buy or not. We had a few extra minutes and spent them checking out the souvenirs we could bring. I was able to get three bags, two clothes, a wallet, and even ref magnets and key chains. The pricing may differ in the night market, but according to my friend, there are just a few differences.
It was a really pleasant experience, and the friendliness and welcoming atmosphere of the people around me are something I liked about the tour. I'll be back with another blog post that is part of this tour package.

What a great journey😍. Yes floating market is not usual in the Philippines that is why your experience is one of a kind. I hope you enjoyed your travel. For sure this is another moment to cherish.
Yes super, it's still fresh though I went to Thailand last year the memories is still in my heart and forever treasured.
What a wonderful experience you had there!t I would like to visit Thailand. Is it cheap there?
I hope you enjoy your stay there and have a great day ahead!
So far it is cheap. Love the food I can say its one of the best I've tasted.
I have dreamed of going into that tourist attraction. That is where you could see local people selling their local products and try their specialties. I am glad you had a pleasant experience.
Thank you, I'm thinking of going back but not this year.
That place is so iconic and is featured in a lot of magazines. I am glad you get to have that experience. I bet that it is truly one of a kind. I hope you took advantage of the moment to explore all that the place has to offer. Keep safe and enjoy your trip there. May there be more cool places you get to visit.
Yes indeed, I really love Thailand and would love to go back there.
This is one of my dream tourist activities. I haven't had this kind of experience. In addition, we can also try different local delicacies, and lovely to see the aunties carefully preparing the food in front us and carefully managing the lack of space. Wow, I wonder what type of creatures could we possibly encounter while afloat. Also, mango sticky rice has become very popular that it already commonly sold in my place.
Me too, I started finding Thailand as a great place to visit last 2019, but I have trips that I had to prioritized so this trip has been pushed back multiple times but I'm happy I finally did it.
What a wonderful trip😍 but the mango sticky rice is very colorful❤ I tried it here locally it was really really good. Floating market was fun.😍
I'm amazed too that it is colorful hahaha

Simply amazing! Floating markets really offer a different kind of adventure, and I can really imagine the thrill of experiencing them in person after watching the videos on YouTube. Lucky you got there early! Also, the help the locals offered, supplying fresh water and other goodies, truly warms a heart. And ohhh, the fact that your guide spoke three languages must have facilitated things—what a bonus!
