I hope that this trip can be fruitful man. I hear you as far as visa issues are concerned but it always makes me a bit more upset when there is a family involved. Fingers crossed that your visa issues will be behind you upon your return.

I get most upset when I hear 'Mericans say "Just have em' come over illegally like the Mexicans, they're just letting em' in." When I hear this I realize Americans have no idea how immigration works or the struggles an illegal alien faces day to day. I wouldn't wish the American immigration process on my worst enemy, it has been the single most depressing and stressful thing I have ever dealt with.
This is why I try to keep my bitchin' about visas over here to a minimum. A vast majority of the people in SEA wouldn't even be allowed to the USA at all, let alone for long periods of time on a tourist visa.
