Two more decent finds in street art neighborhood

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY7 months ago

There is a place just south of Da Nang between the city and the neighboring area of Hoi An where a neighborhood, it appears by their own choice, decided to embrace street art and doesn't just allow it, but seems to attract people that are genuinely good at it. For whatever reason, there is zero awful graffiti here and all the pieces I have seen thus far seem to have been done by vary talented people. Most of them are more than just tag-signs or whatever those are actually called, and they have a lot of thought behind them. While these new ones I have found are not cultural the likes of which some of the others I have seen, they are quite nice and were clearly allowed to be done.

These are not on some side of the building alleyway sort of shite the likes of which we have all over Da Nang, but stuff that took some time to complete and I love that the neighborhood is like this. In the meantime I haven't seen anything that was less than pretty great in the whole area.

I don't know enough about the process to really understand what to call this, but it is on the side of a building that has some huge murals on all sides so I am presuming that these people came in with permission and were able to take as long as they needed to finish it. This is likely why it is so good as well.

This next one could be better but at least it has an ocean motif and that is appropriate seeing as how before they put up the large hotels across the street from this neighborhood, it was ocean-view.

The second one appears to be done with brushes, which is something I have less of an appreciation for but I still like it a great deal more than I do when someone sprays a gang or street tag in a haphazard quick way in order to dodge getting busted.

If you want to check this place out it is roughly 5km south of Da Nang on the main beach road. You will notice it from there because the murals on some of the buildings are so huge they can be spotted from quite some distance away. Take a stroll through this neighborhood and stop at one of the many coffeeshops that are there as well

Sort:

how does a post like this, get $13, and all it is is photos of SOMEONE ELSES art
yet i do ORIGINAL art, and cant even get $1?

I've been trying to recruit artists to post in the FreeCompliments Community! We'd definitely curate your original art (we have a growing curation trail) and give HSBI rewards to foster your growth.

I've been hoping to find more artists to follow. I'll go over and follow you starting right now.

The sea motif in the second image is really nice reminds me of a cartoon, the little mermaid villain. Thanks for sharing this amazing street art.

I wouldn't call it amazing. It's better than crap though!
