Hi, readers! Good day, it's me again, Hyundais. Today, I would like to share my unforgettable experience during the BSHM Day 2024 (Bachelor of Science and Hospitality Management).
On 10Am in the morning December 2, 2024, all Bachelor of Science and Hospitality Management students celebrated the HM Day located in CTU Tabogon Extension. On this day, all students in Bachelor of Science and Hospitality Management wore chef uniforms and walked one by one in the center of the mini gym on a red carpet to have their picture taken by a professional photographer at CTU Extension, by section, and grade level.
The first activity was Food Carving. The faculty provided each participant with a fruit and carving tools. The fruits we used were one piece of melon and one piece of carrot. We decided to make coconut tree using the melon.
First slice the top of the melon to form coconut leaves. Then, put a small circle in the center. We used one piece of carrot for the body of the tree. The half melon was peeled to form a diamond and put under the tree to make it look attractive to the judges. I wanted to take some pictures while we were slicing the melon, but the staff told us we weren't allowed to use cellphones.
The second activity is slogan and poster making. The theme is 'It's all about Hm day.' There will also be table skirting contest, with each section and grade level having a participant.
And the third activity which are the Filipino games, such as
Smash the egg, Longest Line, Sack Race, Tug of war. This games is not brought fun and laughing but also remind participants of the simple joy.
The last activity, Fiesta Sanayon 2024, had all BSHM students by section and year level making a hut using coconut leaves, and of course, a long table to display the food. Our president assigned seven groups in our section, and we planned what kind of fruits we would prepare, which included bananas, oranges, watermelons, jackfruits, sweet potatoes, bodbod, papayas, coconuts, canton, and lastly, fish and gulaman. We waited a few minutes to present our food because the judges had questions about our preparations, and my other classmates were assigned to cook the fish. A few minutes later, the judges started asking questions. Of course, the president of our room will not be suppressed when it comes to questions and answers. 😁
After the questions, all of us BSHM students will eat the food that we have prepared. Then, all BSHM students will share the food that has been prepared. After eating, the judges announced that we will start the awarding because the time is already 4:30.
We received a certificate for being the 3rd place in this event, Fiesta Sanayon 2024. This is a very unforgettable experience for my college journey as a first-year student.
