Anyway, this morning, we went to Butuan’s airport that is stituated in Bancasi. My aunt and cousin were arriving from Manila with a 6 am flight. They told mama that we should go at the airport around 5:30 so they could have a car to ride with. My mother was really excited to meet her sister, so we immediately rushed to go to the airport in the morning.
My sister-in-law in the picture is just outside the waiting area. We didn’t know that our aunt and my cousin were already travelling going to the town of Sibagat. My cousin had a jet lag. She vomited a lot. Her phone she brought was useless because we couldn’t contact her, so it was hard for us to fetch them. We were seeking them for an hour because we thought that they were still at the airport, but the securities couldn’t trace their names. They said that there was no more flights to wait in the morning. I was pretty sure that they travelled to Sibagat, our neighboring town, and I was right.
There are many taxis at the parking lots of the airport. No need to open an Uber or Grab app, because taxis are allowed to wait for the passengers here. So, I was right, that they rode a taxi before we arrived. My cousin confirmed that they finally arrived at their house while we were at the airport. Well, we just liked to help them to spend less of renting a taxi going to town, but my cousin was not feeling well.
This is the exit of the airport. When the plane lands, families and friends are allowed to standby in there to wait for a friend or family member. It is also an entrance when someone flies. We have many teary-eyed memories here. I remember when we met here my father’s coffin. I also remember when we met and welcomed my sisters in the U.S when they flew here in the Philippines and after a few months, they went back in America. It also reminds me when I went to Manila many times with them before they flew abroad.
The securities talked about the names we asked them to find because we were still hopefull that both ladies are still at the airport. They’re very accommodating and helpful.
My mother and sister-in-law had a talk with securities. While they talked about the two ladies, my baby and niece were playing at the sign board. My photos aren’t nice because she moves a lot and there are many vehicles at the airport. Sometimes, I couldn’t stop her what she wants because she shouts, so I just let her play with my niece along the road with my eyes wide-open because it gives me anxiety if she’s out of my sight even for seconds. It’s dangerous in her age to play along the road because it’s in her age when she walks and play without directions.
This is the exit of the entire airport. Going out from here is only a short minutes away from the malls and convenient stores. Aside from taxis, there are also jeepneys and tricycles that wait for the passengers and some people prefer both transportation to spend less. Taxis are expensive, but it is convenient as it is exclusive only for one passenger.
My baby had enjoyed the fresh air of the airport. It has a very clean surroundings with trees which is for me, very comfy to relax. It’s relaxing to be in a clean environment like I wanna be there throughout the day.
How about you? How is your life going on today?
