When I was a teenager and had already gone off to college, my younger brother got in trouble with a bunch of other kids for getting into a vacant house and then basically trashing the place. Although I was unhappy to see my brother in trouble, I agreed that he should have gotten in trouble. There was a problem though and that was that he was a minor. The law offered an opportunity to the parents in this situation though and that was that they were to come to an agreement to sort the situation out financially, or criminal charges would be placed against all of their children.
I consider this a very fair end result.
Yes that does seem like a good and fair result. He must have go into big trouble with your parents. The cops in my day would beat you 6 times with a cane and you did not want that as it would tear your backside to shreds.
did this sort of punishment end up getting outlawed? I would imagine that it did.
