WARNING! Long blog ahead..

This blog will compose of few parts as I would like to share with you and to appreciate the happenings before, during and after my natal day. Yes! I just turned 29th and that's perfectly okay. ✨🍻 I thank God for this gift of life very much. ❤️

I've been away to blogging because I got busy with life, work and a lot that happened in between, I couldn't find a right time to blog. However now that I'm back, I would like to tell you all how I celebrated my natal day and etc. Let's start with days before my birthday, shall we?

I honestly didn't plan to file a vacation leave for 2 days and to connect it to our rest day at work. Really, I didn't. Maybe its true, as they say when you're getting older, you wouldn't feel the same excitement or thrill as your birthday approaching. I even have no idea what to do then but I just felt that I needed some days to take a break. I thought it would be perfect if I do it days before September 20th which was my birth date. So I did it, and surprisingly it got approved.

I was overjoyed and excited I immediately went home to my province to start my short vacation. At the end of the day I found "the thrill" over there. Very timely, that same day, Danao City's annual feast was about to come. We call it, "fiesta" in our dialect. Before the actual fiesta, there were lots of activities in town and it was so good to enjoy my short vacation by joining their events and activities in town!

What's up Bazaar!🥳🍻

It was 18th of September, in the evening. The very first thing I did on my time off was to support my cousins on their food stall at the bazaar held at the town's famous park we called "boardwalk". They were selling Filipino foods and street foods for the people to enjoy while having a great time there. Aside from food stalls there were also few deserts and drinks. Variety of Filipino dishes were all over the park. As a support of my family's business, not only I bought their food, I also bought them drinks and pizza to eat as snacks while they're working. I also helped calling out customers which I really enjoyed because we were just like having fun while selling. Selling was fun! 😄

Unfortunately I have no decent photo with my cousin Jhovie (also sister of @spontaneoussober) who owned the food stall but even though I got tired a little bit, it was nice to give supports specially to your family who is starting in the business world. Maybe this is their start of success. Keep it up guys! 👏👏

Happy Fiesta Sto. Thomas De Villanueva!🥳🍻

The next day (19th of September) is the actual feast day of Danao City. The city was so alive, full of music and crowded people. Its been 3 years that the city has not celebrated the annual fiesta physically due to pandemic therefore this year, the city was too generous to spoil all Danawanons to celebrate the feast without so much restrictions like face masks and social distancing, NADAAAA 🙅😍👏😌

There were festival dances which I was not able to witness because it was too hot that day, I decided not to go out early lol (this is what pandemic have made me. Fear of crowd.) However, later that day, when its about to go dark,I went to church and light some candles and offer prayers. I wish I attended the mass but I don't know their schedule.

Afterwards, since there was a concert at the park, I decided to watch with my brother while we ate and drank some beers. It was pretty much a well spent fiesta for me. I also had a great time with my brother. It was our first intimate time together, aside from eating out which became our hobby, that we both agreed to do something because most of the time he doesn't wanna go out or no time to do any outdoor stuff, so I really appreciate him celebrating the fiesta with me rather than going out with his friends. Because of that, I felt much closer to him and knew him more as a person and as a family.

We paid for 100 pesos each and got stamped as proof and to claim our free cup of beer.

After the concert of local bands, we decided to go home though they still have disco party after that but we were both tired and sleepy already to dance. Lol (adulting) 😂

So far I loved how I started my short vacation. Intimate, short but simple, nothing fancy, just making memories with the people I love.

Tomorrow is the day! I can't wait to share my day with you. Thanks for reaching this far. See you in Part 2 ✨❤️

Desclaimer: Majority of the photos are mine. Some were taken from my cousin's phones. Grabbed with their permission.
