Hello everybody,
During our travels, we usually take our breaskfast at our favorite eatery to the Park Place, next town to our City but on this particular day the four of us hubby, me, our son the driver and grandson was so hungry because it was 9 am already and we have not taken anything even coffee. When we were on the way my son suggested we try another eatery that was just near our place, we all agreed. So, our son parked at nearby eatery at Mangga-on meaning to Eat and I spotted right away the hammock by the young Mango Tree. Hmm, I liked this place.
After parking, we all rushed to the serving area we really were so hungry.
We chose simple dish, light to the stomach, the hot fish soup, we call "Tinuwa" paired with garlic rice and "Humba" a braised pork dish cooked with soy sauce and vinegar which is sweet and salty. Lastly, I only ordered hot water because I brought our own coffee blend, Adlao Coffee with Glutathione.
They have lechon, too, but I just snapped it, too, heavy to the stomach in the morning.
After eating, I waited for 10 minutes and then, ahahaha, GreatGrandma enjoyed the hammock!
We have hammock at home, too, I set up in 2021 that was January when our new house was built with roof top. I set up the hammock up there so comfy, windy and it can really relaxed your body especially during nap time after lunch. But, when Typhoon Odette visited our City on December 16, 2021, oh la la the native roof was blown away with only the poles left. It is not conducive to hammock anymore, so hot with no roof plus many leaves fallen from our Aratelis tree. So, I pulled off the hammock. No more hammock for now. Due to hubby's (he is 73 yrs old, now) ailing health every year twice hospitalized, we have no budget yet for the roof of the roof top yet. Health first before anything else. As seniors focus on our alkaline diet, which is quiet expensive.
But, we do plan to set up another hammocks at home because it is relaxing especially with our age, we must enjoy the swing and sleep soundly, one way for healing our body, too.
Grateful much to @justinparke for this contest because I am now aware about the history of hammock, I googled it. I found it interesting.
Thanks much for dropping by...
We used to have the same green hammock under the mango tree. My father loved spending his siestas in a hammock, so he had about four hammocks hung around our property, even inside our house.
Yes, Sis hammock is really relaxing and space saver.
Fried rice and lechon huwaaaw! ☺️ Oh, for sure it was refreshing to nap on a hammock under a tree. 😊

A swing under the mango tree! How that brinks back memories from our "barrio" Almost all the houses from our little town has those. And every siesta time we would all be there resting and enjoying the summer breeze. It was way more relaxing than being inside the house. Have a great day dear hiver!
True, hammock can make us sleep deeply.
What a perfect spot to relax after a hefty meal!❤️🥰

That's a cool hammock area from the eatery. Your mom must have enjoyed it and her inner child steps in. It looks like it gives her joy and excitement.
Good for you sis. It's cool to the feeling when you just sit there and relax yourself while reading your favourite movie reels or crocheting!
Yes, truth. Hammock is so simple but convenient and enjoyably relaxing.
