You are starting to become quite the GIF King my friend :<)
I used to play indoor / competitive badminton ( as a sport ), from age 14 to 17.
It is pretty cool with an actual net and lines ( as you mentioned in a previous write up ) and can be very physical, quite a workout if you're moving from back to front and side to side and changing up the speed.
I can't stop giggling when making GIFs, too much simple fun.
I miss playing proper badminton. I'm definitely buying a net when I see one, otherwise I will weave my own and prop it up with bamboo. I love table tennis too, probably the sport I am best at, love the foot and hand agility required for both sports.
I used to know all that stuff years ago when I was really into learning the cultural stuff here. It has to do with planting and harvesting rice, the basic and most repeated hand gesture. I really love the Balinese dancing too, a lot of fast twitching type movements and some really scary headgear.
So, there are or were a lot of scholarships from India and Indonesia - especially in artforms - so quite a few people in the art world have studied different forms on those scholarships. I suppose the lady also learned that style from one of those programs.
Our mobile internet is crap when it's cloudy because the cell phone tower is outside of town on a mountain. If I do a GIF challenge, I definitely need an exciting and new rewards system of some kind.
🙏 I always come back to GIFs after short breaks, they are just too much fun and don't take a super long time to create. Plus our internet is crap at the moment, uploading a 3Speak video is very hopeful.
I can imagine waiting for a video to upload would become pretty annoying. It is so much easier to just turn a moment into a gif. A few MBs are much more manageable than several GBs.
Indeed, and I realize many Hivers have limited time, so asking somebody to commit to a 10-minute video + post is a bit much. You're right, the waiting can be frustrating at times, especially when you lose your 3Speak upload at 90%, then have to calculate how much money you lost from your data plan 😕.
I've never NOT had unlimited data. Ouch, that would hurt to waste valuable data on a failed upload.
You're also right about being too busy to watch longer videos. I wish that 3Speak had a "Watch Later" playlist option. That is the only way I am able to keep up with all of the awesome videos that get uploaded to my YouTube feed daily. If it weren't for that useful feature, I'd miss out on so much.
Your engagement is very robotic and basic, far from genuine. Longterm members of ASEAN Hive must maintain authentic engagement with their fellow Hivers.

Reason enough to continue with it :^)
I used to play table tennis too, for 3 years, in a club together with my dad, 2 decades ago.
I love that game,
as well as the word ping pong ;^)
We gotta get together and pong one day my man.
That sounds like heaven to me! ;^)
What a beautiful and rich culture 😍. I should really learn the meaning of the poses and hand gestures.
Fun fact: Javanese culture also has some hinduism and buddhism influences. I've seen the Javanese serimpi dancers play some scenes from the Ramayan.

Ah there was someone in my local area who was specialized in Balinese dancing, but don't know if she still teaches that style.
Oh thank you for sharing that. I like to know facts, especially about art and culture. 😁
Surprising there is Balinese dancing there, definitely worth seeing if you ever get the chance.

Gif challenge sounded awesome, should my network decided to improve slightly. Don't worry, I will go back home and watch those short video again 😁

Thank you for showing the Apsara dance, a very beautiful dance, indeed you can just show or show something beautiful
It is such a graceful dance, and I forgot one of the dancers in the video is a distant cousin of my wife, now living in the USA.
All your activities look fun, Cambodia is a country that has an interesting and beautiful culture.
It is a beautiful country, but I love the people the most, they are the easiest to hang out with.
Hmm... you make me drool,, it's very delicious when eaten during the day..
There are never enough green mangoes in our house, haha.
Loving all of the GIFs bro! Such a great way to share your moments.

can i post in the Asean community
I knew I had to capture each family member in a GIF, and my wife usually has a good sense of GIF humor.
Green mangoes and badminton is a very fine day.
