I have done the 16-hour fast before, my body responded very well. However with kids and a wife I found it logistically challenging because we eat at very random times because our daily life is kind of chaotic and random. I would like to return to intermittent fasting when our lives calm down, but for now I just skip breakfast, so I guess we're in the same boat.

I also got used to not having breakfast since I stopped drinking coffee. In the past, I didn't look for food, but I had to look for coffee. It's like I'm addicted to coffee. Now I prefer green tea without sugar, or sometimes I drink hot lemonade without sugar. When it becomes a habit, we really won't feel that breakfast is necessary. I think you can do intermittent fasting (12:12). Your dinner time should be early so that the next morning you can break your fast and do work at the same time.
