Well, in a way we have the best of both worlds. We are in a very remote location, yes, but also our property is along a major national highway, so at least we have quick access to transport because of this even though at times a car doesn't pass by for several hours 😁.
All will change when the border crossing with Thailand near us becomes an international checkpoint with visa services. Hopefully we can professionally accommodate guests by the time that day comes. We do get some noise because we are on the downhill from the mountain pass, so sometimes airbrakes from the big trucks wake us up at night.
Hopefully Srey-Yuu will be a major attraction with her ukulele skills when we are renowned homestay location 😉.
I agree with you the brakes and the noise of the trucks will bother us at night. Hehe
