Hilsa fish curry with gourd = My homemade recipe 😋👩🏽‍🍳

I'm back with a new homemade recipe. Hope everyone is healthy and well.
I'll share my cooking recipe of Hilsa fish curry with gourd😋👩🏽‍🍳.

Different types of recipes can be made with Hilsa fish. Although earlier I have shared with you a different type of recipe with this fish but now I am going to share another delicious recipe with this fish. This fish is very tasty to eat, I think those who are familiar with this fish know very well what the fish really tastes like.

Gourd is a very useful vegetable for the body. Gourds are rich in vitamins, soluble fiber and water. Soluble fiber helps to digest food easily and helps to solve all digestive problems like constipation, acidity. Also this vegetable regulates the body temperature and this vegetable is very beneficial for diabetic patients.

Gourd is a popular vegetable in our country, which is a favorite dish of many. I know many recipes with gourd and will try to share them with you next time.

On the other hand, Hilsa has various health benefits. Hilsa contains omega three fatty acids, calcium and other vitamins and minerals. However, there is a little caution in eating this fish because eating Hilsa may cause allergies or gas in some people's body. So if they have such problems, it is better to avoid this fish.

Anyway, I have said a lot, now let's take a look at this very easy Hilsa fish and gourd curry recipe.

Ingredients & Steps to follow:

  • Gourd
  • Hilsa fish
  • Onion
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder
  • Chili powder
  • Mustard oil
  • Ginger paste
  • Garlic paste
  • Green chilies
  • Coriander leaves

The process to follow:

For this recipe, I didn't need such a big gourd for this recipe so I cut the gourd in half. I took half of the gourd and cut it into small pieces. Then I washed them very well.

Then I took a medium size Hilsa fish and cut it into pieces. Although for this recipe I took two pieces of fish. After cutting these fish I cleaned them very well.

First I put a quantity of oil in a pen. Heat the oil and add chopped onions. I added salt to taste to soften the onion slices quickly. I fried them well until the raw smell left the onions.

Then I added a paste of ginger and a small amount of garlic. I fried them with this spice for some time. Then I mixed it well with turmeric powder, chili powder and all the spices. Among these spices I added some green chilies. This time, I grinded these spices with a small amount of water so that the spices do not get burnt.

Then I added the chopped fish to the spices. After adding the fish I mixed the spices carefully as the fish tends to break up. At this stage the fish cannot be cooked for a long time because these fish get cooked very quickly. So after some time I kept the fish in a separate bowl and in the next step I would give these fish again.

After that, I added the washed and cleaned gourds to those spices. After giving the gourds, I mixed all the spices with them. There is no need to add much spice to cooking gourd. So I gave very little spice and when cooked with this little spice, the taste of gourd gets better.

While cooking the gourds, water came out of them and with this water I cooked these gourds for some time. So I didn't add any extra water there.

At this stage the green color of the gourds changed to light yellow and after that time the gourds are about half cooked and soft. Then I mixed the half cooked fish with the gourds. After 2 minutes I put measured water.

Then I cooked all the ingredients with water for some time. This time I added chopped coriander leaves and cooked it again for some time and adding this coriander leaves makes this dish taste very delicious.

This time I had a very nice aroma coming out of this cooking. The gourd and Hilsa fish was a very nice combination and the two ingredients were very fragrant. This recipe is now complete.

Then I served this delicious fish curry in a beautiful bowl. This dish turned out very tasty and this recipe looks amazing. This curry is very tasty with white rice.
