I'll share my cooking recipe of Red Spinach with Shrimp 🦐🥬.
Today I am going to share with you one of my favorite red spinach recipes. This recipe is very easy and delicious.
Some of our country's cooking is so simple, especially any kind of vegetable recipe seems very easy to me. Anyway, I think many people know this red spinach or its taste is familiar to many people.
Many of you know that vegetables are an important source of daily nutritional needs. Vegetables are very beneficial for the body as they are rich in vitamins and minerals. Among the various vegetables, red Spinach are one of them.
Although red Spinach are available throughout the whole year in our country, they are actually a winter vegetable. Red leafy vegetables are rich in iron. So people who are suffering from anemia, eating this vegetable regularly is very beneficial. The fibrous part of red vegetables helps digestion and relieves constipation.
Anyway, I have told you about some benefits of this vegetable, now let's start my healthy and delicious recipe.
Ingredients & Steps to follow:
All the ingredients are not pictured here but I made this recipe as per below ingredients.
- Red Spinach
- Shrimp
- Onion
- Garlic
- Green chilies
- Salt
- Turmeric powder
- Oil
The process to follow:
Vegetable leaves are generally of two types, large leaves and small leaves. I find large leaf's easy to clean and small leaf's greens take a long time to clean. However, these leaf's were small in size so it took me a long time to clean them.
I first picked the leaf's and discarded the dead or infested leaf's. In this way I separated the main stems of this spinach very well. Then I put the spinach's in another container. This step took some time to process the spinach.
After that I took a perforated container to wash the Spinach very well and kept them in another basket. I changed the water depending on the dust or dirt on the leaves. At this stage I rinsed the leaves several times with water. I drained the water from the leaves and cut them on a board. I cut the leaves into very small pieces.
Now it's time to heat the stove.
At first I put a pan on the stove and put some oil in it. I waited for some time for the oil to heat up. Then when the oil was hot, I added some chopped onions.
Then I fried the onions for a while. After the onions were softened a bit, I added some chopped garlic. I mixed onions and garlic together and fried them for some time.
At this stage I added the Shrimps. I mixed shrimp fish with onions and garlic. I fried all these ingredients very well for some time.
Then after the Shrimp turned light brown in color, I added some green chilies. At this time there was a very strong smell of fish. I love the smell that comes out when frying Shrimp. After frying these for some time, I added very little water.
Then I added salt and turmeric powder to taste. I mixed all the spices very well with the Shrimp and cooked them for some time. After that I did not use any other spices. Usually I use very less spices in this recipe.
Then I added the red spinach. I mixed the red spinach very well with all the spices, shrimp and fried them for some time. I added little water to cook the vegetables well.
At this stage the red spinach got soften very quickly and the cooking was done after a while. At that time a very nice aroma came out from the vegetables.
After cooking the vegetables I served in a red bowl. Basically, I selected the red color bowl to match the color of red Spinach. Anyway, it took me about 15 minutes to finish this whole recipe. This dish was very easy to make and delicious to eat.
