Vegetarian Menu For Lunch -Bitter Gourd

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY8 hours ago (edited)

Lunch time arrived, a moment cherished among ASEAN communities, where rice reigns as the centerpiece of the meal. Today, rice accompanied by American Black Nightshade graced my plate. Leunca (Solanum nigrum L) mingled with sautéed bitter gourd, infusing the dish with flavors. To elevate this medley, tempeh joined the sauté, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, celebrating culinary traditions with each bite.

To prepare sautéed bitter gourd, only garlic, onion, salt, and sugar are needed. Tempeh serves as a protein source. A bowl of white rice will satisfy my hunger. The taste was slightly bitter due to the bitter gourd, balancing nicely with the savory elements. It was a simple yet fulfilling meal, indeed.

I bought the vegetables during the day, including a bitter gourd and some leunca, along with tempeh, all for just 1000 IDR. The menu offers sufficient nutrition, as tempeh and bitter gourd create a great mixture of flavors and health benefits. I needed about 30 minutes to cook everything, ensuring each ingredient was perfectly prepared. This simple yet nutritious meal reflects the beauty of local products.

I mean my wife cooked the food that I enjoyed very much. In the past, I didn’t like vegetables at all. However, she always prepared them in a tasty way, making them more appealing to me. Over time, I learned to appreciate their flavors and health benefits. Now, I really admire her cooking skills and enjoy every meal she makes, especially when it includes delicious vegetables prepared just right. It has truly changed my perspective.

I enjoyed the lunch very much, surrounded by relatives and family. Sharing good food and laughter created wonderful memories, making the time spent together even more special. It was a lovely gathering.
Thanks for visiting.
