Several years ago my cousin came back to our hometown (Blora, Central Java, Indonesia) for the first time since she gave birth. The Little one was only 1.5 years old at that time, while now she must have been 4 years old already.
Even though she is not a village born child, my little one turns out to be fine wandering around through the rice fields with my cousin from another uncle, who is originally born there haha.
By the way, her mother turns out to still be able to eat using a bare hand and still enjoy eating sambal even though she has been living in Eurepe for years :-D.
In the photo below, I, along with the son of my 3rd uncle and both the son and daughter of my oldest uncle, are having dinner with roasted chicken which we have raised all this while, accompanied with chili paste and fresh vegetables.
The one in the blue basin is not a drink, you know, but water for washing hands :-D.
Besides that, I also showed photos of hibiscus flowers, pink periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus), which is said to have many benefits for health and could even be used for cancer therapy.
Then there are also papaya and bay leaf which are commonly used in asian cooking.

Beberapa tahun lalu sepupuku datang ke kampung halaman (Blora, Jawa Tengah) untuk yang pertamakalinya sejak dia melahirkan. Sikecil waktu itu baru 1,5 tahun, sementara sekarang pastinya sudah 4 tahunan umurnya.
Biarpun bukan anak kampung si kecil ternyata tahan juga diajak jalan-jalan ditengah sawah sama adik sepupuku yang satunya lagi haha.
Ngomong-ngomong ibunya ternyata masih bisa juga makan pake tangan dan masih doyan makan sambel terasi biarpun sudah bertahun-tahun di LN :-D.
Di foto dibawah ini aku, bersama anak pakdeku yang nomor tiga serta anak pakdheku sedang makan malam pake ayam kampung piaraan sendiri yang dipanggang pake bumbu kuning, plus sambal terasi dan lalapan.
Yang di baskom biru itu bukan minuman lho, tapi air kobokan untuk cuci tangan :-D .
Selain itu saya juga tampilkan foto bunga sepatu, tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus) yang katanya banyak kasiatnya bahkan bisa untuk terapi kanker segala.
Kemudian ada juga pohon pepaya dan salam yang biasa dipakai untuk masak.
