Hi hi my friends,
How are you? One of my favourite hobbies in my entire life is definitely to do a road trip. It can be just heading off to somewhere far away from where I usually stay just to getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. To get a refresher.
So this trip I travelled from Miri to Kota Kinabalu Sabah.
Lawas market
This is one of the little towns in Sarawak that is separated from the main district of Sarawak and in between of that is Brunei.
This is the first part of the trip that I recently had with my parents and my wife.

But it usually does not match with real life driving. It took me around 9 hours of driving. Pit stops. Toilet breaks. This was the first time my parents had gone to Sabah’s Kundasang district. What is so special about this place? This is where the highest mountain in Malaysia is located. 2000 metres above sea level.
The day startrd foggy. It had been raining a lot and most of Miri was flooded. Brunei and Sabah were not flooded at all. The Borneo island of Malaysia is a different type of area. Despite Sarawak and Sabah being both a part of Malaysia, you need to get your passport stamped and checked. There is an immigration post right in between of Sabah and Sarawak.
The weather . Raining. Cold. Flood waters almost entered my house.
I flew my drone around the neighbourhood.
Luckily, the waters subsided quickly.
My journey started around 7 a.m.
My camera lens on my phone fogged due to heavy amounts of fog on the glass of the camera.
It was around 9 a.m. that I reached Brunei’s main capital city area. We needed a toilet break and a place to just sit down for a while.
There was an open air mall nearby where we went to have a bit of toilet break.
After Brunei, the next place that we were heading to was to Lawas. Miri, Sarawak to Brunei. Brunei to Lawas, Sarawak. Lawas to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

After stopping by Lawas, we were heading towards Sabah. It was another 3 and the half bours drive from this place. I was ready.
