What happens when rice is boiled with lots of water? You get porridge. Porridge is rice and a lot of water. It's a Monday again. My wife and I went to a very popular place eat. There were lots of people and we had to wait for a table. After ten minutes of waiting, we finally got our table. The sun was pretty bright.
This place is called ALIPAPA
yes. Maybe one day, while the owner was thinking of a name. He thought, why not just change Alibaba to Alipapa. I think it's a good idea since it is such an easy to remember name.
PORRIDGE & FRIED DOUGH
Porridge is one of the most popular choices of food here in Miri city. Fried dough made fresh can be dunked into a cup of hot coffee.
Haha.. covering his face as I was taking this photo.
Maybe he was slightly shy so he did not want to have his photo taken. The moments in life as photos are shot. Sometimes, it gets very funny. This stall specializes in noodles.
So many people
Just at the end of this pathway is another very popular dim sum restaurant. There was a line.
Candid shot of another stall
Just took a photo to capture this. Photos stop moments in time.
Chef preparing food.
I wonder if he ever feels bored doing this for such a long time. When I was a barber shop some while ago, the barber in his 70s, I asked him a question. " Do you still love to cut hair?" He had that obvious no. haha.. I guess, if you do something for such a long time, there is some sort of boredom that sets in but deep inside we do it for a living.
All tables were taken
There wasn't any table left. Anyone who wanted to eat here had to wait for their turn by waiting for someone to finish.
Dish washing
She's washing the dishes. I love washing dishes at home too. The joy of looking at the plates being cleaned.
My coffee came in style
A great cup of coffee to start off the day in a great way.
My wife
Her cheeks are so pinchable. hehe..
The porridge came
Hot. Some leeks. Some meat. Mostly water and rice.
Fried dough
Eat while it is still hot while it still crunches upon being bitten by a human.
In Sarawak, it's dough, noodles, coffee.
