The country of Brunei is located on the island of Borneo. Home to around 400k, is a peaceful place.
I was driving back to Miri from Kota Kinabalu and I had to pass by Brunei Darussalam.
A short pit stop before continuing driving for a while.
Kampung Ayer
The water village
There are locals here living across from the land here. They have been living above waters for a long time. There are hundreds of people who are living here. They have electricity, drinking and even a clinic.
Walking around Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei.
The breeze from the sea is cool and you can hear the sounds of the water.
There are people jogging around and some are just enjoying their time walking around this place.
Have you heard of a water taxi?
These are used to transport humans to daily stuff.
That is one of the water taxi that you can use to travel to the stilt houses of Kampong Ayer. For a small fee, you can travel to the houses across the river. There is even a musuem on the other side of this river. Many locals who have lived on Kampong Ayer for a long time prefer to live there.
The art work on the wall is creative. Brunei is a safe country that is clean and the best thing is that you can enjoy being with the nature. They have at least made an effort to put this therr. It is a map of the area around this place.

The weather report of this beautiful city with the design and architecture of Brunei city is great. But your driving was fantastic at this wonderful time. I've never been to Brunei. It just never cross my mind to visit. Maybe someday.
