One thing I noticed about most of Sabah's most popular eateries is that they are super duper crowded at the next level. Today, I am going to write a post about one of Sabah's most popular seafood restaurants here. The place that I went to eat at the time of arriving at Sabah.
Sasa Seafood Restaurant spans a couple of shops. I think it is around five shops in total and the whole place is full of people. Most tables were taken.
I drove a couple of rounds just to get parking in front of the restaurant. We got a table that was near the car park.
My parents here getting their seats. I drove for many hours and finally arrived here. Approximately more than 10 hours from Miri.
We ordered
Baby Kailan
Have you eaten the Baby Kailan before? This type of veggie is super duper crunchy.
The only thing I felt needed more was the portion. It was not enough. But, it taste alrite. But the service was fast.
The next dish - Sizzling Tofu
This has to be one of my favourite dishes here at this restaurant. Anything with tofu definitely is going to win me. It is as long as it taste alrite.
The soup
This soup is thick and there are lots of ingredients here. There is mushroom, and tofu. This soup is thick and viscous the moment it is served hot. Delicious after a long day's drive from Miri. Put in some vinegar to add on some sourness. We have got a wonderful dish.
The next dish, I have never eaten before in Miri except at sushi shops but it was available here.
Salted fried soft shell crabs
The crabs are super yummy and soft. These are fried with salted egg. A type of flavour that is considered delicious here in Malaysia.
Just look at the crowd
I have never seen so many people eating at any given time. It felt like a city.
What's the food like here? If your hungry and you need to wait, I would not recommend you to eat here but if your ready to wait for a table, then yes. The food portion does not correspond with the price.
