Kota Kinabalu is a city for the tourists. I recently went to this place in the town and stayed there. This hotel is clean but near a roundabout so expect some noise at night.
The roundabout
Any roundabout looks like a breathing organism. Every single minute, there is a car driving around it.
Early morning, I took out my drone and flew around this place at 6 a.m. Sometimes, I just love spending the time recording stuff and enjoying the view.

A bit hard to find a car park but after it got dark, it was slightly easier to find parking.

There is also a laundry shop next to this hotel as well as 7-11. Not bad. There are lots of things to feel convenient at.
The alleys here are well-lit.
The bed - A queen-sized bed that I shared with my wife. We were going to sleep here for a night before heading up to the mountains - 2000 meters above sea level to the highest point in Malaysia. Have you ever heard of Kundasang? Read the next post to find out more.
A very nice ancient vase here. Amazing.
The bed room is quite clean in a way but slightly noisy from the noise outside the roundabout with cars driving around all day all night. But, the view is spectacular. At least you don't feel alone at night here.

How about the toilet? Is it clean? The did not clean it properly and I could still feel some bubbles on my feet but it was satisfactory. The price of this hotel is reasonable.
Then, it was time to head to bed. It was getting late.

Did you have a nice stay at the hotel and was breakfast inclusive? It may not look spacious, but it looks modern and comfortable. What is more important is that it is located in a safe area. I am sure you will be showing us more pictures of your mountain climbing experience soon. Keep safe!
