Yesterday, I was scrolling down the photos on my Facebook account and was nostalgic with the pictures and memories uploaded in the past years. I saw my life from being single to being married and eventually having children.
When I first created my account on that platform years ago, I was fond of uploading photos of events in my life and making albums. It is nice to see those photos and remember the memories I've created with friends and family.
What caught my attention yesterday was that I found a picture of my children and husband 6 years ago standing in the same spot as the photo I took just last month. What a coincidence! That pose was not taken intentionally to remake the older one. But I am glad I did.
Same spot. Same route.
Taken 6 years ago, same month. On our way back to Cebu after spending the Christmas holidays with my family in Negros Oriental.
The picture below was taken last month and on our way back to Cebu also after the Christmas vacation.
For years this had been our travel route, especially during the Christmas season. We travel by our private car and then on a boat to and from Negros. It is just seldom that our whole family goes to visit my husband's family in Luzon. But when we do, we do it like a whole month to be there! 😀 So that it will all be worth the expenses. It is more expensive to travel there because of the distance and we need to fly to Manila and ride a bus to reach my in-laws' place.
Every visit is memorable. Whether a short one or a month long. I am glad that my family and I can do it with the limited resources that we have. Time with family is precious. We never know when our time is up in this mortal existence. Spend time with those that matter most.
Concluding thoughts...
The photo that I saw reminded me that our children grow up fast. Before you know it, they are ready to move out and maneuver their own lives. Cherish every moment with them. Reminding myself too! Sometimes stress got into me because they didn't listen to me. Parenting! If you know what I mean. 😂 Then I realized, not to be so hard on myself and my children. Chill and breathe! (Sometimes easier said than done! 😂)

Time indeed flies by so fast we don't even notice it. That is why its important to spend it wisely. We create lots of memories so that eventually when we get old we have many things to remember and lots of memories made with lots of different people. And yes, I agree that time is way beyond quick and it's like, "ah, the children have grown so fast."
