Harvested cassava that thick as my knee.

Greetings everyone! Welcome to my gardening blog.

It’s already the second day of my cold, and it's getting worse. It started last Sunday. I think it was caused by the mata kucing fruit I ate early Sunday morning. I’ve always been sensitive to mata kucing fruit if I eat too much of it, probably because of the sweetness. The same goes for watermelon, if I eat too much, I get a cold. Even though I feel weak and have a runny nose that makes it hard to breathe, I push through and keep myself active so the day doesn’t go by without me doing anything.

So, after coming back from work, I changed into gardening clothes. At first, I just wanted to do some light work, like clearing the weeds around my flowers. But once I started feeling better and ready for heavier tasks, I decided to work on our cassava plants.

I've been meaning to dig up the cassava I planted a few months ago. I was curious to see how big the roots had grown. Without wasting time, I grabbed a small machete and headed to the cassava plot, which is actually within our home’s fence.

I was really happy with the cassava harvest. The roots were big and plenty. One plant produced 5 to 7 roots, and the biggest one was as thick as my knee! That’s how big it was! This time, we’ll have a satisfying meal. But I won’t be eating all the cassava myself. I plan to share the harvest with friends and family. The tricky part was that it started raining heavily with lightning while I was digging. I had to push through the rain to finish the job. I managed to harvest two plants, and I’m really pleased with the results.

By evening, some smaller cassava was boiled and eaten with sugar. I also tried it with chocolate butter, and it was so delicious! Just eating cassava made me feel full and energized. However, before nightfall, I started shivering, a sign of my cold getting worse. I’ve already taken cold and pain medicine today, so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to take more.

Anyway, thank you for visiting my blog. I truly appreciate all your support. Your encouragement keeps me motivated to share more stories here. Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you again. Goodbye and take care!**

Thank you so much for your continue support!

I hope you are better now, a cold can be a pain in the neck if it take too long.

Anyways you had an amazing harvest of cassava. All I can think is cassava cake after seeing your harvest. Hehe. It's best too if its boiled and then eaten it with sugar. But have you tried it with coconut milk? You just have to boil it with coconut milk with sugar and a pinch of salt. Really depend how you want yours, salty or sweet. It's the best I tell yah!
