Hello Hivers!
This is my first post here on the Wednesday Walk / Made Me smile Community . My name is Mers and I come from the Philippines. A few of my friends also have their contents posted here. I was a bit hesitant to join the ASEAN Hive community because I am not in my home country at the moment since I live in Europe. So to be on the safe side , I asked the host Eliza Cheng whether I can post my content even if I am not in Asia. Glad she acknowledged and said yes.
What I am sharing here is a visit to the National Park near our home in the 22nd District of Vienna. On this day, I went to the Pharmacy to get the my doctor´s prescription. This was ordered the day before and the pharmacist sad I can get it at about 2:30 PM. When I went there, the medicine was not there yet so the lady said that I should come back. I left my phone number and I went to the National Park which is just about a kilometer, to while away the time.
I am so glad I did, the sun was shining and a bit of nature would refresh me I tought. There were lots of bikers and joggers and a couple of families were there, children playing at the ponds on the other side. The water on the other side of the Lobau was deeper at this time of Spring. I did not see any ducks or swans at the moment, they must be somewhere else.
So I went to the woods passing by a small wooden bridge. The flowers made me smile and it is beautiful at this time of Spring because leaves of the trees are beginning to sprout and I know everything will be green again all over. Nature is showing again its beauty through the flowers that were starting to blossom.
I felt so refreshed and rejuvenated for this WALK because it is so calm, the air was so fresh and clean and the birds from a distant area were chirping. Nature is so beautiful and I am really thankful that we live in this part of the city because it feels like we live in the countryside.
As always Ate Mers beautiful photos and the place is also beautiful!

tokens. In the one pic it looks like everyone is wearing trousers and long sleeves. Isn't it really hot there right now? I would die if i went on a hike wearing that much clothes :)
It is cold in the city and in the National Park til now.... I have my woolen coat when I visited this since our temperatures the last week were between 3° C - 10°C / 37.4°F - 50°F. it is cold at this time of the year and to think that Spring already started last March 21 here. My newbie plants like Eggplant and Cukes died off because it was too cold in the night. Thank God that the lettuces are more resilient. Thanks for dropping-by.

You are more than welcome to post things from your life abroad, and that is actually some of the most interesting content to me, to see ASEAN citizens experiences in various countries living abroad. Have you learned any German living in Austria. I heard their dialect is quite different from standard German.
Hi Justin! Thank you. Yes, I know a few.. My stepdaughter lives in Bavaria.. They speak with different intonations. Those who live in the northern part like Hamburg, they also speak differently.. But Austria has many dialects too. Sometimes even if I live here long enough..I have difficulties in understanding each dialects.. I laugh about the Swiss, their german is the most awful dialect I ever heard because of their intonation. I have to listen carefully to my swiss friends to be able to understand what they say. LOL!
Appreciate,you dropping-by.. Many thanks.
