Wednesday Walk And Make Me Smile ...02.06.2021 Edition
Hello and welcome to this edition of my walk for today! I had to take my husband to the dentist to get his tooth extracted since he was in such pain. Most of you might have experienced how painful this is. So I dropped him off at the dental clinic and drove to the Parkhouse that is just about 2 blocks away.
After parking the car, I roamed a bit in the Plaza of the 21st District. It has been a sunny day, normally, the fountains in front of the man sitting on the bench would have been operational and the kids would be playing already. But the weather was still cool at around 18°C and it was still early . Meteorology wise, today had been the start of our Summer here. Calendar wise it would officially be on June 21.
You can see the plaza still empty. I went to the Turkish Supermarket just a few steps from the Cafe on the right to buy vegetables. After that, I went back to the Parkhaus to place the veggies in the car.
The brown building in the below image is the Parkhaus and the street behind the "STOP" sign is the direction going to the dental clinic. My husband called up and said that he had the anesthesia injected so he had to wait about an hour before the tooth extraction, then I walked to the clinic to join him.
On the way to the vertical garden.....
The vertical garden is located on the right side of the street to the clinic. I was astound as last year, the garden was only small in size, maybe half of the present wall.. and they have added more plants to camouflage the wall of the garbage room and I think a store room. Actually, a very sound and good idea because during wintertime, the building saves energy in heating the walls of the flats due to the vertical garden that acts as insulation.
I really love this idea, it is very green with lovely flowers and I am sure I will visit this street to see the beautiful blooms again some weeks later. The idea had been, they covered the wall with very fine nets that hold the soil, holes were made so thy could insert the plants. I wanted to know the technique on how they did this.
Vienna is a green city and it is very clean because the locals are disciplined enough to make the city worth living in. The taxes are high and the city admins are trying their best to keep the city clean. The infrastructures are very good, crime rate is low, medical care is super and the culture is superb. That made Vienna on top as the most liveable city in the world. for the 10th time. You can read more here
I brought my youngest daughter to the dentist last week too. Hope your husband feel much better after the visit.
Love the vertical garden. The flowers are beautiful.
Toothache is a devastating feeling. I hope I will be spared from such kind of pain. Many thanks.

I hope your husband is doing ok after the extraction
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk
Hi @tattoodjay!
Thank you, indeed vertical garden is a super idea. How I wish I have a wall to do that. I gave up my garden last year and now we live in a flat with balcony... but I have my container garden and it´s doing great! My husband tooth extraction had been good at the moment, he took pain reliever so he could sleep tight. See you next time. Cheers!
Dear @tattoodjay, I was just wondering why the list of accounts I followed including yours was erased. I only noticed it now.
I have noticed that happening occasionally no idea why
